Myers–Briggs—what's your personality?

Since there is a thread about astrology and horoscopes, I thought I'd start a thread about Myers–Briggs.

Ever taken either any of the plethora of Myers–Briggs Type Inventory tests, or the 16Personalities test? What's your personality? Do you think this stuff is non-sense, and want to let us know?

According to Myers–Briggs, I'm an INFJ, but 16personalities reveals that I'm an ENFJ. Hardly any SPs have looked into their Myers–Briggs personality, so can't comment on which personality I can have the best sex with. But I get the impression the ones who I can get really intimate with are the INFPs and ISFPs, I guess because they are introverted, but love a good company to pour their heart out and talk about themselves.

Would love to know your thoughts!

Dude, you are an I or an E. That ain’t a wishy-washy thing. Although Introverts have poignant moments and extroverts have introspective moments, one personality trait predominates. You probably ‘know’ what that is, and it explains your relaitionship dynamics.
The biggest value of personality profiles is not to understand others, but rather to understand yourself in a way that you can better interract with others and appreciate others for what they are.

So Punt’s advice:

—-> Go Fuk all Personalitirs and enjoy the ride.

(typical ENTJ talking. 😂 Lol.)

Just for info, have a look at the origins of Meyers-Briggs. Concocted by failed romance novelists with basically zero foundation in science, just like horoscopes. There are far better psychometric tools out there, however basically all of them can be manipulated to some degree to achieve whatever result you want.

I remember well kinda remember a job interview back in '90 maybe '91. The receptionist handed me this 2 page form to fill out. After about half way through I had to ask what is this? She said the boss wanted to get a handle on your personality ... And I remember saying ... OK ... It was a M B thing which I though oh F F S. No didn't get the job but I did have an entertaining moment asking the boss why he thought pop psych tests were worth anything. He gave me some bullshit story kind of along the lines of the shit one gets in today's SARS2 discussions and I thanked him for the time but could not see myself working in a company where shit like this was used to place personnel.

My personality trait as I see it? UDTF where the U is 'usually'.

Sorry OP I put zero credence on this stuff.

It may not be Scientifically valid (something I generally care a lot about as an INTJ) but reading in depth on my type describes me perfectly. Unlike horoscopes, it is not so generally written that the other types also describe me: they decidedly do not. It's very interesting to read what basically amounted to a user's guide on myself. As far as the compatibility pieces, I don't buy them, but then again, I don't have enough friends, social life, or sex experience to know for sure 🤣
I'm an INTJ as well. Do you make your living in IT as well by chance?

You need to broaden your research. Unfairly demeaning the women who created the instrument is sexist and merely ad hominem as a criticism. Their work is informed by that of Carl Jung, a father of psychiatry and has been usefully employed by many millions of persons worldwide. The MBTI is not for everyone but it has been helpful to countless persons and I myself have used it professionally to great advantage since the 70s. INTJ.
