Is It Normal For Providers To Come Pick You Up For Incalls?

Usually when I've done incalls, the provider would give me the address just 30 minutes before the session. This would include the buzzer number and the door.

But some time back I booked an incall, and after I got to the place, she texts me and tells me that she's coming to pick me up. Lol what? Is that normal? I cancelled our session immediately. I have never heard of this happening. Has this happened to anyone else? What did you do?

This happened to me before downtown, the providers was reputable so I didn't have a problem with it and luckily no one was around so it was relatively discreet.

She could come pick you up maybe because the buzzer is not working or the elevators needs a key to go up, but most places I believe the elevator is unlocked for a few mins after buzzing in.

Kind of side note but I've had one time where there was no problem going up but after the session, the elevator wouldn't let me go down to the lobby without the key. When I was about to go back out to the provider to ask them to help, the elevator started going down and another resident got in. Had to ask them to help key me down. Kinda awkward lol

LOL WHAT this is hilarious. I've done this for regulars before but not for a new client, what the fuck?
Also this belongs in 411

Edit: I thought for some reason she went to pick him up in her car

So ya this is totally normal why can’t she come down and get you? Buzzer could be broken or it could be a rented spot/air bnb and she doesn’t have access to buzzer.

If the buzzer isn't working this can be normal. Sometimes it can be a temporary building issue affecting everyone. It definitely happens. Also, if the SP has any reason to think you may be sketchy or want to check you out first, they may want to come down to the door to see you before letting you in. Both possibilities.

Is this really safe in terms of avoiding legal trouble? Because the halls are video monitored, and if the camera sees you walking right beside the provider and entering the room with her.....well that's all the evidence they need right? lol

Evidence for what? If you aren’t going in to cause trouble then cops aren’t going to come looking for you.. Unless somethings changed in Vancouver, they don’t care as long as you’re not causing trouble or seeing minors/trafficked people.

While I know that pooning is not taken seriously by the cops, its still technically against the law only for the client right? It's legal to sell sex, but not to buy it.

I have been picked up in the lobby many times by a provider especially if there are buzz in issues at the door.

It is honestly no big deal and not that unusual.

Correct, but they don’t set up stings here unless underage/trafficking/other illicit shit is going on. VPD doesn’t give a rats ass about clients paying for services unless you take services and don’t pay, seeing minors, raping/assaulting providers (and even then it’s questionable) and a few other actual safety issues. We are a far cry from the USA laws and how they treat people who engage in sex work.

As others have said, stick to seeing reputable providers and you’ll be fine. In this part of the world, I’d be more worried about the scammers taking you for a ride than the cops. VPD doesn’t care about clients if you’re acting accordingly.

What are the dangers associated with scammers?
