How to maintain privacy as a client?

I'm sorry if this isn't the right board to ask or if it has been asked before - in my defense I did search "privacy" and "opsec" and didn't see anything - but I am curious what steps regular clients use to maintain their privacy?

This question crossed my mind because I have noticed most SPs only take bookings/inquiries through text and also won't reply to text apps. I 100% understand the reasons why and there is not one ounce of complaint coming from me on that; I can't however be the only person that worries about my spouse seeing the number appear on my phone statement. That itself wouldn't be an issue but should that number be googled and ads show up in the results, explaining why you're sending/receiving even a single text becomes damn ass impossible.
Is a burner phone the only option?
What are other "best practices" someone should keep in mind to maintain their own privacy?

Burner phones are somewhat hard to hide and or explain. A second sim is easier , but you will still get a bill. And the issue is with them seeing the number on the phone bill. If you put the burner phone on a cell phone plan then that charge will also show up on the credit card. If a provider won’t see me using my texting app, I move onto the next sp who will . just my 2 cents.

Yeah. Unless your SO has a lockdown and accontability of all your cash. We had one member who can only see a so twice a year ( poor guy ) partly bc that is how long it takes to skim of his bank account without red flags .

Anyway if your partner wants to know, they will know. Someone I know was followed by a private investigator hired by his then girlfriend as she suspected him to see another girl. The girlfriend came to suspect it through someone that replied "oh no he's not with me right now" to one of her text.

Yeah. Unless your SO has a lockdown and accontability of all your cash. We had one member who can only see a so twice a year ( poor guy ) partly bc that is how long it takes to skim of his bank account without red flags .

That’s gotta be rough. I know a guy like this who moonlights some weekends with wifey’s permission but squirrels away a few bucks every now and then from cash jobs he hides. Goes to the odd AMP but the money goes further with dating site hookups. I couldn’t handle that much cloak and dagger/dishonesty lol.

Reminds me of the joke where the woman started calling all her SO's friends to find out where he was. Each of the buds knew she was pissed. 9 of them said he had been with them and one even said yeah he's still here asleep. Or something. Just the brotherhood looking out for each other. If its down to her hiring a PI to follow you, its time to fish or cut bait in the relationship.

But the OP wanted to know about being private regarding to SP's who don't reply to txt apps. Two way street isn't it and I don't think there is a clear cut answer. You and the SP are communicating to set up sex. There has to be some trust there so I think any solution is very much up to the individual.

I use my real cell phone and keep a close eye on my call, text and email logs, keeping them clean, deleting any text or calls that could be suspicious to anyone getting access to my phone. And hell, I am not even in a relationship at the moment but am seeing a few women regularly. I guess this is just something I have become comfortable with over the decades. I tend to park far enough away I can have a good look at the neighbourhood as I walk towards the entrance and have sometimes, carried an envelope with me - you know to look like a delivery guy who should be there. To the OP, you'll get it and don't be too paranoid.

What still gives me the fucking willies though is getting an solicited text or worse a call from an SP. FFS. I let them know never to do that again then I block that number. Thank god that has only happened a few times.

I used only email for quite awhile, felt very safe created a quick account only checked it on the web, not the apps, no surprise texts at the wrong time, problem comes when ladies or agency’s are text or call only, I did receive an unannounced text one night, my heart skipped a few beats, thus the well hidden burner phone, but I still prefer email

Telegram, Snapchat .. No burner required.

Neither of which exposes your phone number. It's 2021, sms is pretty outdated.

For us we prefer telegram or SMS, but snapchat is also acceptable.

If you are using a text app, don't be surprised if an SP or Agency considers that as suspicious.

I know of at least one sp and mp that will post your phone number and text contexts in social media if you don’t text them properly. I won’t say who though. But this is the reason why I won’t use my real number. ( Don’t dm me who. I will respect their privacy and not out them ) .

This is Canada not the United States. Nobody cares. I'm sorry but that is absolutely rediculous.

Side note, our messaging systems are based in the Netherlands and phone agents are out of the country.

From my experience I've had surprisingly little difficulty with a text app. I always initiate the conversation via other means and then tell the companion/agency up front that I'm using a text app. Despite many of them saying they don't accept text apps, if there's an established relationship and if it's handled properly and respectfully throughout, my experience says many will make exceptions.

But... ymmv. I don't have tons of experience, but so far so good.

100% agree with Charlee here. In my experience very few reputable SP's use text as their only form of communication, so to be honest this would be a red flag for me. Most of my communication is through email, it's discreet and as long as its a private account just make sure to log out then it's not in use. I've had the same concerns about texting from my phone (prying eyes of family not LE worries) as said above search under Burner Phone Precautions for a relevance discussion.

I have had one sp that uses a texting app but won’t let you use one. When I asked why the hypocrisy ( I asked a lot nicer) , they said because they know they are real and don’t know if you are a time waster or violent. But as a indie, we also know there could also be time wasters or scammers. In fact some one just got scammed in the victoria section. As for email, that works . I have tried that, but I find responses to email is a lot slower than text and alot of times you don’t get a response till the next day or the next few days . ( when your horniness has already been resolved one way or another ). Also the problem with some emails is that yiunhave to give the email provider your phone number, so if LE is a concern , they can still find out who you are .

Ditto for us. And we don't play games with peoples phone numbers. If you aren't a gentlemen, a flake or try to negotiate when you text you are simply blocked.
