Good lord - This could be an ad-infinitum thread.

I'm a guy who goes back to when there was OUTRAGE when the price of a glass of beer went to 20cents from 15!!!

Post-secondary education. Don't get me wrong - it's invaluable. But people should not have to run up tens of thousands of dollars in debt to get the education they need to have a fulfilling life.

This is coming from an old guy who was no scholastic star but was able to earn two post-secondary degrees without going into debt, even though my family couldn't provide much support. I think that what I was able to do in the 70s and 80s just wouldn't be possible now.

Houses are grossly overpriced. I work part time with a friend who builds houses. I know what goes into them.

Low interest rates are mostly to blame IMO. Like cars, people buy houses based on what payments they can afford.
I pity anyone trying to get into a house these days. My house has quadrupled in value in about 18 years.

Cost Of Living. Which pretty much means everything.
There used to be competetion to keep prices down, now all the manufacturers have agreed on prices for everything. Mostly instigated by the buy online platforms like ebay and amazon and governments to keep retail places open.
Warehousing strategy in Canada, don't store because of the cost to heat. So Manufacturers wait for orders to make things. Another thing is bulk is frowned on (those small packages of small/tiny parts cost more in those nice packages).
Metals and Woods and plastics to build stuff are very expensive.

Celebrities.

They make a fortune, act like spoiled brats, get married 5 times, divorced 4 times or more, leave a wake of destruction in their path, and have the audacity pretend they hold higher ground on values, morals, the environment, and politics.

Bunch of over-valued Fuktards!

I moved here from the GTA around 4 years ago and I find generally everything related to Cost of Living is higher than what I was used to in Ontario.

I'm pretty sure transportation/fuel/housing costs play a factor for nearly everything that relies on those things.

Major overpriced things in Canada (from my perspective): cheese/dairy, mobile tel-com, post secondary education, homes (in big cities), autos, fuel, electronics, sports equipment & fan gear.
