mask use isn't the panacea that it's made out to be, if it was, why are cases 2-3 times higher now than in the previous months, up till mostly Aug, where they weren't in vogue most places?
they've also had them in some places in Europe for many more months than us, outdoors too, mandatory, still didn't crush it
Not here to start a war however as someone that has made a part of their living partially in biotech/virus/transmittal, I can shed some light.
First, I don’t care what Bonnie Henry or anyone else says on TV, take a trip to an epidemiology book for the scientific facts.
Most masks being used are:
A) not being worn correctly (edges are not sealed/nose exposed)
B) not being handled correctly (must be disposed of after every use)
C) people wear them while sticking their fingers in their eyes and ears and under their mask to touch their mouth and nose etc
D) cloth masks have been show to help spread the virus, yet political leaders wear them on TV and promote them
E) most masks worn do not protect because they are not the correct filtration
F) many masks being sold with the correct filtration is fraudulent
This is why the wearing the mask groups haven’t had much of a dent in the overall pandemic count.
Additionally, for masks to work, the implementation needs to be at saturation and consistent. Half the people doing it won’t work. It’s sort of like if half the people use rubber bullets in their gun while the other half use live ammo.
Chances are everyone is going to wind up dead.

In the early stages of a pandemic, it doesn’t seem to make sense to go full on paranoid mode because there is no current visible reason to do so.
That’s why pandemics become pandemics. It’s this tricky and elusive phase in the beginning that allows it to hit a specific point, once it does, the path is set and it will run its course based on math.
Math doesn’t give a shit about race, age, money, or anything else. Math does show lack of preparation and the reality of what was happening when others may not have agreed.
I love people but please remember, the average person is really ignorant and our leaders are ill equipped and uneducated. If anyone doubts this, look at where most of the world is at right now
Im surprised cars don’t come with warnings saying not to put seatbelts around their neck as wearing one in that case would likely increase death vs protect against it.
