Anyone remember ICQ?

I spent about a decade of my life (around 2002 onward) living in chat rooms. The amount of phone sex and cam sex I had is insane. But seems like chat rooms are dead. There are a few but they are all bots.
I have only one contact left from those days. But she is, in her words, "not the kind to sleep around'.

I made several good friends on IRC across nations. The trust and friendships then, between strangers who had never met, was a lot stronger than many friends I met in person. Some I met in person via IRC eventually, and still keep in touch with, 20+ years later. IRC was (still is) a virtual world within itself, with social hierarchies, personal reputations, economics etc.
Yahoo chat / messenger was great to meet women back in the day.
I never liked ICQ but it was quite popular for a good while.
Then the social media platforms started popping up and things changed forever.

I remember that my routine in the late 90's and early 2000's was to boot up my desktop computer, then open up ICQ in one corner of the screen, MSN Messenger in another corner, Yahoo Messenger in another corner, and finally AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) in the fourth corner. Over the years I had built up a "buddy list" in all four Instant Messaging (IM) systems, from all over the world, so there was almost always someone available to... um... "video chat" at any time of the day or night.
I spent many hours over many years on these IM systems, at first online play only, then focusing on meeting local ladies, before moving on to the telephone-based QuestChat system for phone sex and to meet local ladies in person instead.
So many memories.
