UP ABOVE SMILING
Over the past couple of months we have been brainstorming and kicking around new ideas to improve the user experience of the forums. Not to give much away right now, but there are some major changes coming soon. I would like to get the members opinion on a way to improving the " posting a review" experience. One suggestion a while back was to have a sort of TEMPLATE with the important info that members seek in a review, and at the bottom of the template have a brief comments section. Many feel that this would give the forum a more classy, informative and consistent feel, yet still provide the important info which hobbyists look for in determining where to spend their hard earned money. This would replace the free hand novel type reviews, or the reviews that lack substance and info, or quick comment reviews. Others suggest we should offer both, your choice of a template or freehand. I will be adding a poll in this thread to seek opinions and suggestions. Thanks

I personally would prefer the option of both. I also think providers should be consulted on this. We have often voiced our concern over ''explicit, menu-type'' reviews and I would hate for my intimate time with my clients to be reduced to a check list in determining whether or not I'm a good provider. As mentioned before, not every client on here looks for strictly services, a lot look for a natural feel, a connection, something that isn't quantifiable. I don't think a template would convey these bookings properly. I think also that some providers don't mind the checklist and advertise towards that kind of reviews. So the option of both would benefit all types of providers. I know for myself that my branding, which I have spent a lot of time and money building, is based on intimacy rather than strict sexual services and that I am not alone in this. I wouldn't want that to be taken away from me.

I'm not a fan of checklists. I guess the best idea would be have the option of template or freehand. That way the template checklist crowd can do their thing and the rest of us who aren't into that can continue with what suits us.

A choice would be in keeping with the spirit of the forum. The template would give newbies a sense of what info others are seeking and and easy ABC way of a review with training wheels, so to speak. And a free hand review will allow the unique characters on Perb to shine as they do.

A combination of both sounds good. Some limit on the length of the free hand part as well, it isn't Volume two of War and Peace, but a review. Keep it short and sweet, say between 20 and 200 words.

The checklist would be designed with everyone's input.
I'd be fine with the mods designing it and making the decision among themselves. You guys are all seasoned members. You should be able to come up with a decent template that fits most needs. If there is also a brief comment section, people can always add more info there if they want. Too much input from too many members will be a headache to manage. You can't please everyone anyway. You also don't need to make it perfect the first time. The template can evolve and improve over time.

I would suggest that for reviews, a template with an option to link to a more personal account posted in a separate sub forum. That would make it easier for those just looking for the bare bones, yet still allow for the flair that some of us enjoy both reading and writing.

I also feel that with only templates it would be too easy for shills to slip through due to lack of tell tale writing styles.

You need a template for sure. Basic things like link/contact, cost, ethnicity, height, weight, etc. "Checklist" services have and should always be YMMV, but that point is understandably difficult to drive home. There's a lot of very low quality reviews, whether they be simply "O.M.G..." or a wall of text, neither are very useful.

A template could start with basics; like Name, website, Where ad was found, Are there pictures, contact info. Requirements of SP (drop down menus could be used)
Then the section where you have your say on how things went from the pooners point of view....

Thing would be to make 1 to 3 choices of templates out there and let members vote on it.

I have offered this in MERB section:

I think what is necessary is this:

- Did she have a website? Twitter profile?
- Booking procedure? (screening required, email only, phone only, email and phone)
- Was she on time? Did she stay the entire duration?
- Were her pictures recent and accurate?
- GFE - were the standard services offered? were any extras available?
- PSE - were the standard services offered? were any extras available?
- Would you repeat?
- Comment section

** if the provider has pages and pages of reviews, I don't think the first two are needed each time **

I think a checklist/template would be perfect.
Often times, a review lacks any meaningful information, other times, too much info. This isn't 'Dear Penthouse'...

I personally would prefer the option of both.

Yes!

Make certain to have the option of both... with the default being NO template.

A template is good for those who... are reviewing more as a perceived responsibility, and who don't especially know what all they want to say.

A template sorta pokes them in certain directions and those will likely provide suitable info to others who are later reading the reviews.

Templates, in general, tend to be way too constricting to those who are happy to write a detailed review.

(sometimes the pure idiocy that is to have 4 options for "bust size":

A
B
C
Larger than life

is just too stupid to bother with)

The last thing you want to do is have a template already there, and already loaded, with reviewers potentially mandated to use the stupid thing.

This whole business flows uniquely as the result of personalities meshing, if only for a while... and to try to shove that into a template which has no 'give' to it, does a disservice to all.

Back in the mid-2000s, when I used to travel a lot to Toronto and visit the SPs there, I would do reviews on hotbabes.to and I thought their template was nice. You can still find examples from this site on Internet Archive although it stopped.

Diversity is good, although sometimes individual results of diversity can be bad.

As much as I dislike useless reviews, IMHO it would be a mistake to restrict the format in which one may post a review for a number of reasons, as follows:

1. The diversity amongst posts without restrictions often communicates a lot about the person composing the review, which can be a handy indicator of how useful the information might be.

2. I would suggest that enforcing adherence to a regimented format would detract from the various personalities of those posting. Having been around PERB for a few years, there are a number of members whom I could identify their posts even without their handles affixed, and for many of those reviewers, forcing them into a format could be effectively like chopping them off at the knees

3. Again referring to the existing diversity, for myself and likely many others, it can be part of what makes PERB useful. If you go read the many reviews for, say, Maddi 5868 for example, reading many (or all** of her various reviews in the multitude of formats provided, you leave with a much more complete picture of what to expect, as opposed to having a handful of formatted reviews that all say the same thing.

4. Along the same line of reasoning as #3, being forced to restrict one's review to a format, especially a checklist, doesn't account for YMMV; what I mean by that is, two very different individuals can see the same girl and have different experiences, possibly because of their personalities. In a checklist, for example, you'd see two filled out differently, and potentially think, "hmm, inconsistent service", however when it's just a person writing about how they felt in their own words, you can get a sense of who the person is and consider if that might have been a factor in the service they received, even more so should you know the reviewer's style from previous experience. One instance that jumps to mind is a girl seen by both myself and a user "Gp60_monster" (or something like that)

I could go on if you wish, but I think you get the idea. I do have an alternative which I would like to suggest, which would be GUIDELINES. You could write out guidelines of what's expected in a review, and send a copy along with an example of a "good review" to new & existing members, and even add a 2nd "flag" button for inadequate reviews. Perhaps come up with a system where it a review gets 3 flags and it's fwd'd to mods and if found inadequate, returned to poster for revision. Just a thought.

I don't like checklists myself, but I like ludivico's checklist reviews because they're his. Please don't take that away from him or any of us.

Final thought: you want to make a quality of life change on perb? How about DARKMODE?

Please consider making the following an essential part of every review.

- A link to the providers ad and/or website
- Full 10 digit phone number
- Name of provider
- (optional) a pic captured from the ad (for when the scammer deletes the ad)

This will help good providers stand out and make the scammers easy to identify.
