My main job is a truck driver, plus I worked a bit on a poker game. My boss quarantined everyone and I don’t know if my work will continue after it is over. Some private transportation companies go bankrupt (as well as restaurants and travel agencies). I have no choice but to use this time to stay with my family. We watch different films, play board games. This is even fun. I am afraid to play poker now (because there are too big bets). However, I became interested in esports livescore. I liked watching online gaming streams. I didn’t have time for this before. So far, I perceive everything as an unplanned vacation. What will happen next - who can predict?

I'm one of the poor saps being demolished by this stupid virus. My business is shut down, many people out of work, etc etc.

The response to this flu is ridiculous. 30k people die from typhoid fever annually, which is both preventable and curable. How many people die from tobacco each day? Car accidents? Heart problems? Or even just regular old influenza? Yet one particularly aggressive strain of the flu spreads everywhere (as every flu does) and knocks out a few thousand of our most vulnerable and the world shuts down.

Not to undermine the hardship of those affected directly, but the response is disproportionate to say the least. Hate to don the tinfoil hat, but: this reminds me of when the US provided arms that killed roughly 300,000 civilians in Eastern Timor, while the media distracted us with the important details of the president getting a blowjob from one of his interns.
It is not how many COVID-19 has killed so far, but the number it will kill if stringent measures are not put in place to combat the spread of the disease. This gives time (i.e. flatten the curve) for the health care system to cope and give the level of care that minimize casualties, whilst the scentists work on a vaccine for the population and/or medication to help the infected.

If COVID-19 is allowed to spread like the seasonal flu, the experts project death in multiple millions.

Lol. I was thinking i should apologize to UhOh. So i apologize. I hope you accept. :)
Of course I accept. Can't blame people for underestimating the danger when idiot authorities kept downplaying it even up to just days ago saying Canadians were at low risk.
