How many doctors or lawyers quit within the first year? Only a minority last in this industry long term. The potential to make an income comparable to a career that requires a decade of schooling...yet so many cant stick with it, that speaks volumes. The assumption that men paying $300/hr and up are “happily” paying it couldn’t be further from the truth. They pay it because they have to. The price has nothing to do with demand. It’s a pride thing and nothing else. When one SP sees another popular SP charging more, that SP’s price goes up to keep up with the Jones’ and to save face.
The condescension about sex being a luxury is crazy. Let me ask you this : how much education and post secondary schooling does one need to become an escort? None. Just the will and desire to get naked with random men. I guess that’s a luxury that requires the same pay rate tax free of that of a lawyer or doctor.
Not saying it's a terrible job, but sure it isn't an easy job.
