Not mention it for a few months, visit a country very far away, set up some kind of charitable trust with about half of it.

That would mean spending over $1,800 per day over next 15 years on this hobby!!!

Ignore your limit, play beyond it.

It would be fun to hobby, but I would hire a girl for a year and make her your private mistress.
Hmmmm
The problem with winning the lottery is you will have family and friends come out of the woodwork that you don’t even know!
For me all my family an friends, pay off all their mortgages, and buy a new car for them, and top up their TFSA
I would keep a million for myself to travel first class with private guides.

Crazy to think how fast one could blow it. Three top level overnights a week with a few single or multiple hour sessions here and there, 5 star hotels around the world via first class travel. Duos trios...an unrestrained pooner could blow it in a few years and divide by three if drugs are involved.
Me though, I’d pay off my mortgage and invest most in the local real estate rental market. Buy a semi luxury condo in Manila and Mexico City or Guadalajara and bounce around pooning and traveling until I get bored.

1. Deposit Cheque
2. Pay off mortgage
3. Sleep on the rest for 30 days before any other decisions are taken.

Banging hotties might get old fast, you would lose the sense of anticipation and appreciate it less.

I would probably have a sugar baby/live in gfe. Travel a bit, fix my teeth.

I have a few friends I would help out. One guy in a wheelchair I’d get him a suitable house and van. That would actually be first on my list.

What are the first 3 things you would do if you won the Lotto ($10M)?
Forget the fantasy of $10million. Why???
Here's some reality, single winning LottoMax ticket in Richmond of ...wait for it $60million. Now try to wrap your head around on spending that.

Still not claimed yet, any you bastards sitting on that, please standup!?!

Rumour has it that a group ticket from YVR Baggage Handlers won it. Twenty people 3 $M each. Now that’s the way to do it! Having $60M brings all sorts of unsavoury types while $3M you can fly under the radar a lot easier.

Personally, I’d help my kids buy homes, help my friends and that would mean a number of SP’s I have seen over the years. Time to give back in a meaningful way.

I want to travel more but in a way that’s not too showy. Years ago I did a long working holiday for two years. Living out of a 70 litre backpack in a minimalist way. All the Mediterranean countries would be at the top of my list.

$10,000,000 invested at a modest return of 4% = $400,000 per annum gross - after tax ~$250,000. Assume $100k living expenses. $150k / 300 per hour = 500 sessions per year. More than once a day some days. Probably would be the death of me.
A $150,000 a year lost in taxes is precisely why I would take the money out of the country.

Buy my parents a house, set up brother and sister for life. Do something for a bunch of single hard working mom's who deserve a break (maybe pay their rent for 5yrs) or something like that

You win $10 Million in a lottery that is tax exempt, have the potential to earn over $500,000 a year in interest, getting free money on your free money and are concerned about contributing a meager $150,000 a year in taxes? I would gladly pay that to the government every year and would personally deliver it in loonies and toonies.

Well I guess all I can only think you are not very bright. On the National scale each and every Canadian Citizen owes about $40,000 for the National Debt which is about 600 BILLION and the current Federal Government just made it bigger. You would happily give that same wastefull Bureaucracy THRICE the amount on a YEARLY basis.

Pay off mortgage. Pay off bills. Buy a truck with all the bells and whistles. Buy some type of muscles car or expensive SUV.

Cause I'm an asshole, I would pay off 5 of my friends (1 person ) mortgages with the fact that they would have to pay the same amount (I gave them- 1 person) to someone else (family or friend- 2nd person) to the full amount of the money that came to him; to help pay off other peoples' mortgages! The 2nd person helps to pay off other mortgages to how much they received. No interest, just principle. If the 1 person only pays off so much he helps pay off his debt(money used to pay off his mortgage) to other people to the full amount of the money he received....

Build a new house with fireplace (indoor and outdoor) bbq set up made of stone (area for outdoor cooking), Master bedroom with walk in closet and bathroom, extra bedroom??, a game room, a theater room and a dungeon for rec use; a 4 car garage and a wood shop and metal work shop (with all new equipment...) Equiped with solar or wind to completely run house and shops....

Also would need a summer home by a lake with a pontoon boat with a bbq on it...

Invest the remainder and live off the interest....

Vacation and see historical sites...

Via Hellmann’s Canada, “there are over 51,000 apples thrown out every hour in Canadian households”. Assume 50 cents per apple = $223,380,000 per year. ~2,690 similar examples would pay off the $600 billion debt in one year. But that would take national discipline.
Another example of totally fake news!
The simplest way to analyze that comment if we throw away that many apples then how many do we consume?
The total Apple industry in Canada is only 200 million
Check it out

Canadians waists 50 percent of our food or about 31 billion per year

How are them apples?

Yep, I am absolutely happy giving the government that money every year.
