Don't Flush Them

Yes, please do not flush them. I farm. Municipalities periodically have to clean the sludge from their lagoons and spread it on farmland as fertilizer. I have not allowed this on mine. 2 reasons; human effluent is too high in heavy metals and the fucking rubber trees are hard to get rid of!!

It's also a heck of a way too drop your land value .. There is a massive resistance to spreading human waste on agricultural land, which I support.
The old adage of " don't shit in the place you eat " comes to mind....

I confess part of me wishes the tax dollars would go to making plumbing more resilient, but I get it.
The technology has been around for centuries to make plumbing better, and far more reliable .... It uses gravity, and weight distribution, combined with velocity....the product never gets plugged, never fails to flush, and will dispose of almost anything you can fit through a toilet seat, including bottles, and old magazines.

The Farmers term for it is a" Long-drop"..... But you may know it as an Outhouse.

The only problem with this technology is it is always upwind. Along walk is good for you.

They used to come equipped with Sears catalogs. Do they have iPads now?

This is a classic example of different strokes for different folks. Back in the day when I was a university student in the U.S., many of my colleagues were veterans who had been in Viet Nam. They talked about the outhouses in rural areas. They were pristine, because the cleaner the outhouse, the more likely it would be used by travelers, and the great the quantity of human waste (fertilizer) that would be deposited.

Fond memories of that outhouse, I never used as a child, growing up on the fishing bars. It was dark, full of spiders, and I always felt like i might fall down into that big hole.

He told me, either I go in there, and then he pointed to that farm next door, and the long grass, and said " or there "

He pulled the barb wired fence open for my siblings and I, and then told us to find big leaves to use.

I opted for the farmer's yard everytime lol !!! Some of those corn fields came in really handy. Big leaves !!

He grew up on a huge farm, so he was adament about the leaves and no toilet paper though.

In Lust Mostly
Always in the trash can.

Having replaced a septic field because oblivious city people put condoms, female sanitary products, tissues in the toilet. So many people treat a toilet as their garbage can; it's quite disturbing how uncaring they are when disposing stuff.

OK, now you've gotten me curious. Can you explain what that means, without, of course, giving away more than you're comfortable with? It intrigues me, but I have no idea what it means.

My parents loved to fish. I grew up camping out on several different fishing bars all over B.C. Learning how to tie your own lines, catch and gut fish as a child was like a right of passage in a way. Bar fishing is when you fish on designated fishing spots off the land instead of in the water off of a boat. That's where those scary out houses came in. They took us ice fishing as well, athough that wasn't as fun becuase we couldn't really run around as much. We were fishing Bar kids.

The first couple of us went fishing alot, and it was fun. Every one knew who's kids belonged to who, and they all kind of looked out for us all. I had bug farms, and caught frogs and snakes. We Ran around alot on the farm properterites near by. Flattened pennies on the train tracks ( although we were never supposed to be wondering off that far. ) Several of the people who owned the farms got to know us, and actually started to let us into the house to use their bathrooms, and gave us cookies :) My father actually got to know a few of these people, and intruduced us to them. We all lost several boots to jumping around in thick mud, near the culdrums, and I'll admit to being hosed off plenty of times outside in the back yard before I was allowed into the house, when we got home. We were quite happily filthy most of the time.

When the city went on strike one year, and stopped cutting the grass, we actually ended up infesting the entire neighbourhood with grasshoppers. That was my specialty !! I was a really good grasshopper catcher :)

Hey... I just realised this "only flush human waste and absolutely nothing else" thing seems to ignore that garburators feed into the same plumbing system. So are we not supposed to use garburators anymore?

I'm sure if you cut a condom into a million pieces and then flushed it, it would be ok? lol

If "DNA" is a concern, bring a water bottle filled with bleach cleanser with you, then after you do the deed, dump the spooge-catcher in there and give it a shake. Believe me whatever's in there will be dead. Just don't absent-mindedly take a drink from it. :yuck:

I had this one person, one time ( absolute asshole ) who seemed to be paranoid about the item in question, and took it into the bathroom to get rid of himself.. Or so I thought ???

He must have stashed it when I wasn't looking. I went to the bathroom at the end to shower and get dressed ect, and as I was saying good bye, and slipping my boots on I felt something odd in my right boot.

It only took me a second to think about it & I was pretty sure what my foot was actually sitting on top of !!!! I didn't react, becuase I didnt want to give him the thrill of a reaction, but yeah.. He stashed it it my boot while I was in shower. !!!

I was really shocked by the incident. I thought he was a nice guy, and that everything went well. To this day I still wonder why he did that to me. If it happened again now, at this point in my life, I'd dig it right out & B* slap him across the face with it ....... Dick Head  I probably wouldn't though, but I'd sure think about it. Or maybe I would, who knows. It really would depend on my mood that day, but hopefully that never happens again. That was one of the rudest things a client has ever done to me.
