Just curious. I was talking to some friends about old university days which seems to be another lifetime ago now that I am nearly 40

How many of you completed a bachelors? Do you miss the college days?

To be young again!

I have no college education....which some love to point out.
Around here there are plenty of further educated individuals, that felt the need to escape the city, and live a simple rural existence...
There are many who come to me for advice on how to exist here, as your only as smart as the environment you've grown up in.
I admit to them I could never survive in the cities they've left, and I respect the fact they are trying to do it here...and come to me for my knowledge.
I will admit, if I need legal advice, or I need someone to translate something into laymen terms, I will go to them, just as they come to me, to fall a tree, or Doctor an animal.
Education comes in all forms....and is applied in the world you find yourself at that moment....pointing out how uneducated someone is, just shows a lack of common decency, and may border on a superiority complex.
Everyone has different experiences, and will apply them differently...don't judge someone on how they talk, or spell ....you never know who your really talking to until you really know them.
One of my very good friends, was a university Professor.....he walked away from it all.
He is the local handyman now.

Yup, I got myself a bachelor's degree years ago from a distinguished local university. Can't say that I miss doing schoolwork there. Sophomoric partying at college is vastly overrated.

Got loads of education, and some life-long friends from the good old days. Bachelors, Masters, exec programs at top universities. But I learned more by taking on roles and major projects at work that challenged my abilities and caused me to get more experienced leaders to coach me and help me fill in the blanks.

I think real education is like a butt plug. If it doesn’t stretch you in some uncomfortable way, then you close up back to your original state when the event is over. So I value applied learning over education.

Despite being well schooled, I am still stupid with women. They are a great mystery to me. But I am getting some very good applied coaching from some of the ‘top trainers’ on this board. My learning continues...

Speaking of degrees, I am a bit down to about 75 degrees, it used to be 90 degress at puberty.

I am going to stay active till I am at 45 degrees. After that I will only see girls who can do oral cuz vaginal penetration can be hard.

Tia Luxx promised me that she will see me even when I am down to zero degree.

I love this hobby.... !!

I received a bachelor's degree in business... it hasn't helped me one bit job wise. Still people have told me education is never a waste, I hope they are right :)

If we are talking degrees....I have a couple black belts.
I suppose it shows some devotion to education of sorts....although that was many years ago.

I went through a Trades course in "College" and I got it done in 9 months where the average completion time was 16 months.I got the 2nd highest score for the final test in the history of that final test.....at the same time I worked a full time job.In hindsight I wish I had moved to Calgary a couple years earlier and gotten into my current line of employment/career that much sooner.I would be more established and I could have gotten into the game with regards to home ownership earlier....nothing but win win.

In the grand scheme of things I wasted some time on something that turned out to be fruitless with regards to my chosen path.My Grandmother paid off my student loan and not by my asking.....after a few more years I found my true calling in life and I cut my teeth on it....20 years of day after day of doing the job with no sick days in that time and no "vacations" other than long weekends.....sadly my Grandmother passed away before I got to where I am in life and I know she would have been proud of me for what I have achieved.Lost along the way are my Grandfather and my Grandmothers second husband....also my eldest brother and then my mother and now my father. It is my brother and I now and we are not close nor do we have contact with other relations in Great Britain.

Such is life

Bachelor's and Master's degrees. They were damned hard work and I look back on university life with no fondness. It wasn't party time. However, it was those studies, along with the experience I've gained since, that made my present career possible, and I enjoy my work, so no regrets.
