Some people are just so stupid........some of you will remember how I had a neighbor a few miles away, that insisted, against my advice....that he was going to have the property line surveyed.
He lost acres of land and a small shop .....that I now own.
I tried to tell him to leave it alone, and that it may not work out in his favour, which it didn't.
Now on the other side of me the same thing is happening.....new owners of a small acerage from Richmond, trying to escape the confines of a city , have bought next to me.
They had their property surveyed....against my advice.
I was trying to be the nice guy, and let them use a pasture, and road that I knew I owned, but didn't need, nor care if they used......They became argumentative, and a little confrontational....thinking they were going to push the big Rancher around, and show me how it's done.
Turns out...as I tried to tell them, they've lost acres of land, part of a building, a pump house for irrigation, water access, and it cost them 9 thousand to pay the survey bill.
The funniest part was, when I was looking down at them from my horse....with a smile on my face, because I knew better, they tried to tell me I was trespassing, on my own property.
If someone has been in a neighbourhood for twenty years, and has a clue the location of the property pins....you might just want to shut up and listen for a minute.
