So so true ! It’s beginning to not be worth the investment in all our costs anymore so most of us have other careers & in turn keeps us from being as available.
We are being pushed out of Victoria by increasing costs of living and increasing rates of new hobbyists strictly only interested in finding the cheapest rates in town. So we either have to lower standards or go where we are treated with more respect. Sad but true. Victoria was once a great place to be an SP but those times are gone imho. It's only really worth coming to town to see long time regulars while weeding through the, "Whats your cheapest rate?" texts. In Victoria I was dealing with no shows/cancellations 50% of the time while in Vancouver no shows are so far non-existant and cancellations are few and far in between.

So just remember, every time you ask for a discount you are making an SP one step closer to wanting to leave the city, because this isn't something we have to deal with elsewhere.

For those of you in Victoria who are still treating women well, thank you, because you are a needle in a haystack and we would go crazy without you!

This isn't a hating on Victoria post, just a heads up to why we are leaving so maybe one day Victoria can go back to the good ol days ;)

As cost of living goes up the amount of money people have to spend on extra-curricular activities decreases.
I’ve never asked someone their cheapest rate. I’ve been in business too and I can’t stand people who expect a deal. Go somewhere else.

The market is going to determine whether your pricing is appropriate or not. Makes me wonder if maybe pricing has risen to the point in Victoria where there is now client resistance. If you can go to Vancouver and earn more dollars per session (after your higher costs in Vancouver) and have more bookings then I think that is great for the sp and I say go for it. I will say one thing. This is not a cheap hobby and the going rate is around $250 per hour. Keep in mind that clients are also paying the rate after they have paid taxes whereas who knows how much income gets declared to CRA by the sp in a cash business. So it's a bit hard for me to feel entirely sympathetic towards the sp in regards to the financial aspect of the business. I don't condone clients who are disrespectful and bart on rates with the sp like you're in a Mexican market negotiating the price on a blanket.

Comparing Van and Vic is like apples and oranges. Where as Van has Sachs 5th avenue and Tiffanies,Victoria has Peoples jewellers and the jewellry kiosk at Costco. Victoria is just basically a little blue collar union town where as Vancouver is basically a bedroom community for the worlds millionaires and billionares.
Basically the last three apprentices that I've trained at work can't afford to own a detached home in Victoria now so I see where your coming from though, they've all bought out in Shawnigan and Sooke and they still have to have two well paying incomes.
More power to you though if you can make a better living in Vancouver,I know I could never afford to live there.

I also think there is a level of respect that some of the ladies feel that is missing in Victoria with the number of nickel and dimers they are dealing with. They set a price they feel their service warrants and if it is out of your price range, then you should move on. We all want respect in the work place.

I think what’s missing from this discussion is acknowledgment that SP rates have gone up across the board over the last six months to a year. I can’t be the only one who’s noticed that booking, either at an agency or with an Indy, has gotten more expensive lately, right?

I’m not defending people nickel and diming and certainly don’t do it myself but when rates go up in any industry you’re inevitably going to get complaints and people trying to pay the old price. When people get used to the new rates I think a lot of the bad behaviour will go away.

^ Of course they have, but so has cost of living. Base govt pay rates go up about 2% a year, give or take (supposed to match inflation). In 5 years, this equates to net 10% increase in prices (which applies to Canada as a whole, where each province/city will see something different). I noticed some agencies went from $180-200 or $200-220 in the last 3 years, which seems to follow. I'd argue that Victoria's cost of living has increased at greater than 2% per year based on housing (occupancy rates very high, rents pretty high, housing costs quite high, etc) and cost of gas. Ultimately, the market will bear what it bears - I can't argue with anyone from trying to increase their income if they can. If there are enough clients with spare cash to support 4 agencies and multiple indies at their rates, great. If not, then we'll probably see an exodus and less choice/availability in the future.

I agree - if you don't like the advertised or provided rate, say "Thank you for your time" and move on. Its so easy, it boggles my mind that anyone would get so incredulous and argue... then expect an amazing, mind-shattering time should the arguing actually succeed! Like "Oh yeah, babe/hun, now that you put it that way, you're right - I am only worth $100H. Come on over for the PSE of a lifetime! XOXOXOX" has probably been said by NO ONE EVER...

Think about how much the cost of keeping an incall is in Victoria now :-0
I’ve increased my rate by $20 in 10 years of escorting , not everyone is out to get you , guys just have to appreciate the lady (ladies) who rock their world and everyone’s happy :) .

Actually, out of Curiosity I just checked Leo's list Vancouver and found that the prices are actually cheaper than Victoria and they offer more services as well included in the price. Also there's much better selection of SP or MP with real ads as they are all verified photos by LL not like what's going on here in Vic. Not to add few SP/MP lie about their age big time, specially when someone advertise that they are 34 or 38 but when you get there, they really look in their 50s,that's big turn off for me and Nasty as well.
It's a free market and society, so SP/MP can charge what ever they wish and the clients have the right to say enough is enough and Maybe take the ferry to Lower mainland for day trip.lol
Good Luck to all SP/MP and the Paying customers:hug:

The only agency that has raised their rates lately is CCE, and they were the cheapest one out of the four agencies in town.
The indies usually start off around $220 then usually increase to $ 240/250 and finally to $300 when they've grabbed their market share(yes I said market share) $350 and above are usually touring ladies that have to pay for a room every night, and of coarse lady Roberta the scammer.

I get what you are saying. It's not the rates and guys asking for discounts as much as it is just the high level of negativity and fake bookings you have to deal with on a daily basis in Victoria. When it is just bad behaivor and negative interactions, I am not sure why it has gotten so bad in Victoria but not everywhere else?
It's not just in this world, I see it all the time where I work and hear similar stories all the time. There seems to be a wave of "it's all about me" generation coming up that is pulling along some outliers from other generations looking for a shorter trip to the top (many of who would probably align with the little orange munchkin to the south). It's very frustrating for the rest of us as well.

If you can't afford to pay the rates of the ladies, then you shouldn't be in the hobby. I never can understand a guy pushing for discounts with escorts. Seriously, show some self-respect. My advice to ladies would be not to have anything to do with the person that bargains for cheaper prices. Clearly they have little class and will treat you similar. And with what is happening with men of Victoria, I think it's just the age of Trump. It's just going to get worse everywhere.

Wow - I have been hearing complaints from MP/SP the rise in number of no shows or request for discounts over the last 3-6 months. It makes sense why there is a drain on service providers in Victoria - couple this with the bad MP/SP's making us more cautious. I appreciate the MP/SP I frequent more and can only hope they stay because if you have to go to the mainland, the cost is now more than the 20-60 increase fees we have seen.

Be extra nice and only see the SPs that matches with your needs. I have made my mistakes and at times wanted to write a poor review, only to realize I only get what I ask/neg for... If I didnt ask - It's on me..

Going to go through my goto girls again hoping to add a few new ones.
