I think I always have a filter on when I look at myself in the mirror. I think "Damn, that is ONE FINE GENT looking back at me!"

Then I took a selfie and thought "yeeesh... and why do my teeth look like I just soaked them in tea?"

Anyway, to the point: there are plenty of beautiful women here and I'm sure some legitimately handsome fellows, all with nice white teeth, so I'll assume at least some of you have used whitening products before. Any suggestions for teeth whitening that actually worked? Anything I should avoid?

Thanks! (with a closed-mouth smile)

Of course, it's always going to be best to go to the dentist directly for a whitening; However, since it can be tedious to do so I'd recommend 3D whitening strips! They work really well even after only a couple of uses and the sensitivity caused by the product isn't nearly as severe as other products since the amount of hydrogen peroxide isn't as strong.

I'd also recommend oil pulling. I usually take a tablespoon of coconut oil and all it is is pushing and pulling the oil through your teeth for about 15-20 minutes (sucks, I know) and then rinse with water. It whitens and improves breath! I also struggle with teeth grinding during sleep and actually noticed late (my dentist hadn't noticed until I was 17) that my canines had been completely ground down, which caused sensitivity. The oil pulling really helped with this as well and now I don't experience any pain. :)

Coconut oil has a lot of benefits and it tastes really fresh, so it's a good method imo.

Overall, I'd talk to your dentist to make sure you do whats best for you and to make sure the products won't break down enamel but these methods really seem to work and they're a lot gentler on the mouth. Just note that if you do attempt to oil pull it's an extremely uncomfortable thing while first starting out!

Oh, and a couple tips to avoid staining: Try to avoid drinks with dark dyes (dark sodas, coffee, etc.) and use a straw when you do drink them to avoid contact with the teeth :)

Go see your dentist and get fitted with proper whitening thingy's that are cast from a mold of your teeth/jaw.....use them with the stuff they supply you with though you will end up using a tooth paste that is pain sensitive for a while.

It works good and I did it.At the same time I have had a few crowns done and I had them done to match....have to get a few more done and I will get them done to match.

I have never tried common consumer products as I just dont want to waste money.

I used white strips on an off over the years and it's really great.
The new crest whitening strip they made it so good, when you apply on your teeth, they won't move like the older one did. You literally have to peel it off of your teeth.
With the old one I could not move my mouth for 30min yet it was still moving around.
With the new design I was able to talk while I had it on my teeth.

Don't over do it. It could make your teeth really sensitive over time. Mine is ok, but everybody else is different.

Also avoid red vine and coffee. I don't drink any of it so my teeth stays really white.
