Why do the Vancouver reviews require log-in to view?

Just wondering why anyone can view the Victoria reviews, but people have to create an account to view the Vancouver reviews. Is there a specific reason for this?

I like being able to put direct links to my reviews in my ads and on my website, but now that I'm in Vancouver, that means that only registered Perb users can view my reviews. This is kind of inconvenient because so much of the clientele in Vancouver is travelling businessmen, who probably don't want to register for an account just to see a review (also, I think U.S. clients are more than ever really wary about leaving any kind of online trail in this industry).

Anyways, what is the reason for passwording the Vancouver reviews but not the Victoria ones?

Toronto and Montreal are the same. Not sure why either, but I’m sure it has to do with the vastly greater size of those cities and a desire to reduce the number of ‘guest’ lurkers and invigorate participation. I agree that it is a small pain to sign in (especially on a smart phone).

A little less elegant, but have you considered pasting excerpts from each review followed by the link? Then if the client wants to validate, they can register.

Thanks for reporting. Victoria escort reviews are being locked as we speak. Victoria massage reviews are already locked.

(kidding. I hope.)

There seem to be no consistency. On PERB, I can count 53 accessible subforums anonymously, and only 4 are locked: Vancouver Escort Reviews, Vancouver Massage Reviews, Victoria Massage Reviews, Regina Escort & Massage Reviews.

Toronto and Montreal are NOT the same. On TERB, most Toronto-related forums are locked (not just reviews), but for other cities everything is open. On MERB, most subforums are open except odd 411 and ads sections. I doubt it was a deliberate design.

That's a great idea, I will try doing that :) Thanks!
