Verified users should notice a $25 dollar bonus on their accounts

Update - April, 27th
Since our previous announcement, we've been able to temporarily extend credit card payments until Monday, April 30th. We’re still uncertain about credit card payments after Monday, but another few days of credit card payments is great news for our community. We expect to have a new solution for accepting credit card payments finalized over the next week.

We thank you all for your patience and support during these uncertain times. We'll continue to be in touch as we work to solve this issue.

$25 bonus for verified users All verified users will be credited $25 USD to their LeoList Gift Card by the end of today.

Get 20% discount on all crypto purchases From now on, all cryptocurrency payments will include a 20% discount. We urge everyone to give cryptocurrency a try, it’s fast, easy, and private.

Here’s how it’ll work:

Top Ups to your LeoList Giftcard will be processed with a 20% bonus.
Ads and upgrades that are paid in crypto will be discounted 20%.

Here's the full disclosure by LeoList for those not clicking on OP's link.... the original announcement on April 26 and the update to it on April 27.
I speculate that payment processors of sites dealing with P4P sexual encounters are spooked by the Backpage mess.

From LeoList as copied from their website.

Announcement - April, 26th
We are changing payment processors
LeoList will temporarily stop accepting credit card payments starting on April 27th April 30th. We’re big fans of crypto, and we encourage everyone to pay with cryptocurrencies.

We apologize for the late notice on this; Our current payment processor didn’t give us much time to prepare for this change. Fortunately we’ve already found a great payment processor that is excited to work with us, it’s just a matter of a few days until we agree on final details and integrate their service.
What does this mean?
Here’s what you need to know:

To help those who rely on credit cards, we will be applying a $25 gift card to all verified accounts within 24 hours
We highly recommend advertisers who prefer credit cards to top up their LeoList giftcard ASAP.
We will continue to accept cryptocurrency payments during this transitional period.
What payments will be accepted now ?
We will still continue to accept Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Dash, Bitcoin Gold and Ethereum Classic.

We highly recommend all providers get familiar with cryptocurrency payments. It’s the most reliable way to use LeoList, and we offer 10% bonus for all payments. There’s plenty of cryptocurrency exchanges here in Canada

This is a slight inconvenience, but it's not a slowing us down. Give us a few days and we will be back up and running with Credit Cards again :) This is just a temporary. We have already started the process of getting setup, it is just a matter of a few more days.

I’m looking forward to the new credit card processors, Segpay was a shady organization. They accused me of fraud and blocked me from payment claiming I was reversing charges at my bank. My bank confirmed no such reversal ever happened. Segpay staff continued to be rude and belligerent in their correspondence with me.
Yup. Segpay told me I reversed the charges and there was nothing I could do to show that I hadn't (why would I try to rip off my ongoing advertising platform?) or to get back back to good. Went with CCBill until LL pulled the rug on that. Incidentally, they took my credit card options off my account a couple weeks before everything else went down. LL never got back to my numerous inquiries.

The one that breaks my balls is the marketing Leolist does to promote crypto sales. Trying to nail down what my advertising costs are with a fluctuating currency, merchant fees at both the physical BitCoin ATM and LL transaction with a 10% bonus on gift card in USD on the user account... just take my credit card, please. please. please. please. Stop trying to convince me that this is the better option for me when it isn't. You can piss on my face, but put down a tarp and fifty bucks first (or however the saying goes).

/end rant

is it still not taking credit cards?
it seems to have an option, if you go to gift cards, and top up, it has an option for visa/mastercard, and it takes you to the same segpay page..I haven't tried it just saw it.

I heard it would take $50,000 and 6 months to set up a sex worker coop run alternative to BackPage and LL. Is there any interest out there?

My bank confirmed no such reversal ever happened. Segpay staff continued to be rude and belligerent in their correspondence with me. It was an uphill battle for them to tell me why they even blocked me in the first place. At the end they finally offered to unblock me, but were still being rude about the whole episode so I left the bridge burnt.
I had a friend suffer the same situation. Except LL claimed that she was using another account but wouldn't give her any information about it. In the end, they said she owed them hundreds of reversed trabsactions and chargeback fee. How did you end up fighting it? LL wasn't forth coming with any additional information, they just wanted money.

I only have the option of cryptocurrency
I hounded them on Twitter DMs and email (support@leolist.cc) to get them to tell me what was going on. They said I had used someone else's credit card on my account.. two years ago. They wanted a picture of my ID (fine.) and a very sincere promise that I would never be a naughty girl again.

Fuck. Yes. All of the interest.

I think this is outrageously pessimistic.
My educated guess would be $5,000 and one week.
The site building is b-flat simple.
The challenge would be how to accept payments.

$5,000 and one week? Makes me want to learn coding.

As for payments, if the system is run by and for sex workers there may be support available on the payment side from the worker support agencies across Canada. If workers could pay locally in cash to an agency they trusted the payment system would be immune to interference by the Visa/Paypal prohibitionist bigots. At the same time the local agency would have an opportunity to make contact with more of the workers in a community.

How about some input from the SPs here? It's all about what they want.

We now expect absolutely no downtime for credit card payments. Our existing payment processor has agreed to continue working with us until we finish integrating a new payment system into LeoList.

Big thank you to everyone for showing their support while we've been scrambling to figure this issue out. We couldn't have done this without the support of the community!

Thanks,
The LeoList Team.

P.S. All users who were verified before the previous announcement were credited $25.00. We encourage all users to get verified to get exclusive promotions, cheaper pricing and other great perks.
