" sometimes ....if you throw caution to the wind, and rush in headlong, into the face of your enemy, even if you are vulnerable in numbers....There in lies the element of the unexpected , and with your vulnerability ,lies the element of surprise"

-Samurai proverb-
truth. I realized what is going on. Just a past issue I try not to face for very long..lessons are often in disguise

Thanks. I enjoy getting paid to explore the depths of the human psyche.

Btw...The ability to be vulnerable is a strength, not a weakness.
thank you beautiful. I do know this and that I am too powerful to allow anything but the real in :love_heart:

Sometimes.....when it's - 25, and calving has started, and I've drug a newborn calf on a sled through the snow, for the 8th time that night......and think there's only 350 more to go......and the weather is supposed to hold us in the deep freeze for another two weeks.
I think to myself.....what would it be like to have a regular job, that I can leave behind every night?

I’ll be starting another selfie thread soon. But just a warning for the easily offended vanilla beans, you probably want to keep your eyes off of it. :behindsofa::fear:
I wandered over to your new thread, and was more than impressed with your new pic.
Just to be clear, because I have no desire to have my nuts crushed under a stiletto heel....I've never fantasized about you.

Well.....maybe one time....last year....well, maybe it was for about a year.
Dammit,...this isn't going to well.

Boring. You would go crazy. Besides, most regular jobs come with bosses.

But you know that.

My Boss can be the biggest, and most beautiful bitch on the planet....She can provide you with everything you need, then in an instant, take it all away.
Mother Nature, is if anything, brutally honest.

I've thought the same in the past while doing something that was either particularly onerous or repetitive. But if I paused, thought about it for a second, I quickly realized that it would be much worse taking orders all day.
Made me grin.
It usually happened at midnight or 4 in the morning. When it was cold ... and dark.
Or I was just really tired.

Our livelihood is similar in different parts of the country. The risk is huge, the reward is not always monetarily so and no two days are ever a repeat. I wouldn't change a thing.

I don’t approve of My phones intelligence. Every time I received balloons for happy birthday, or fireworks for happy New Years, I couldn’t help but think — why the hell are you reading my texts ! No doubt, I enjoy our technological advances but I’m also concerned about the increasingly dominating AI movement. My phone keeps telling me to update it everyday and I don’t. It’s working fine, & I don’t have anything on here important I can’t replace so I don’t see a reason to update it. I havnt updated it in quite a while. Is Anyone else battling their phone, or Feeling the same?

There’s something else I’ve thought about. All those apps that allow ladies to make those cutesy kitty cat or other animal pictures & videos, well they scan for facial recognition when you use them. I watched one of my friends take a photo of herself & she tried to get me to do it but I refused when I saw what the app was doing. It seams harmless and fun but who knows where that scan goes once you take it. If by chance it somehow gets profiled and connected to this industry, then every time your ID is scanned it’s a match. Food for thought. ;) xo-LV

Spot on. I don't even take selfies. Who knows what Google might do with the photos on my phone? I don't have a data plan, and when I do connect to the internet using WiFi it's just long enough to check email.

I do have a kajillion photos of my dog on the phone. Maybe Google can recognize the dog's face.

I think you guys are being paranoid IMO :loco:
One persons paranoia is another persons diligence. It's usually a matter of knowledge. Of course ... I'm close to making a tin hat ... so what do I know?
