Every now and then I find I am short on food and have to wait yo payday. So I have to think on my feet. About what to feed on..
I had a few wraps left from making cacadea lately ..and also made some salad wraps ,something new for me to make ..but easy .

But today it was a tuna cacadea.

Warm one round wrap.
Spread cream cheese on half
Place cut cucumbers on cream cheese.
Put left over caned tuna on top
And slice one hard boiled egg and put on top of tuna.
Fold over and slice in 4.

Something different.

Wow....you pay for sex yet you dont have a fully stocked fridge/freezer.

On the flip side I am enjoying a pulled pork slider tonight with fresh coleslaw. And the pulled pork is left overs.

Stop seeing those low track gals and get some food in your belly is my best advice.

Cucumber slices and cream cheese?....damn I prefer a juicy steak....just sayin.

A slow cook crockpot you can keep adding any kind of value meat or veg and its ready anytime on low heat, always tender & tastes great.
A Sunbeam rice steamer(they outlast all I've had) and a bag of premium scented Thai rice(Milagrosa brand) a bottle of Yamasa soya sauce.
A stack of 50 fresh corn tortilla's($3.50) a block of value cheddar make pan fried quesadilla's add anything else to it ie. avocado, onions, etc.
..save money for pooning..:eyebrows:

Crock pots are the bachelors best friend......and so is a rice cooker.
Where the hell do you buy a stack of 50 tortillas for $3.50?

Laugh at the ingredient list all you want....but you won't be laughing when you try it.
I run outta ingredients a lot because of my proximity to the nearest town....and came up with this rice cooker recipe out of desperation....everybody loves it.

Throw desired amount of rice and water in rice cooker....minus a little water.
Throw in a half diced onion, and one clove garlic diced.
Little bit of lemon juice.....have a sip of your favourite cocktail.
soya sauce....twice the amount you used of lemon juice....this proportion is important.
Little bit of grape seed oil, or olive oil, about a 1/4 cup or so depending on how much your making.
Parsley ,about a palm full,.....and about half that of prepared Greek spice.
Flick on the rice cooker.....have another favorite cocktail.

Due to the oil and soya sauce, your rice cooker will have a little hard Film of caramel on the bottom.
It'll be a little tougher to clean, and require soaking .....another excuse for a favorite cocktail while you wait.

Make a big bowl of pasta. It's quite versatile.

Eat pasta by itself with pasta sauce. Or with any other type of meat or seafood.

Make a bowl of rice. Eat with just about anything too.

Salad, with meats or seafood, or just by itself.

Ramen noodles. Various flavours.

Kraft dinners. Various flavours.

Cereal and milk, add cut up banana to make it go farther.

Peanut butter and banana tortilla wrap, obviously flour variety and larger its good protein, quick breakfast or on the go.

Slow cooker chili is easy. SOme ground beef fried in a pan with spices and onion, add a can of pasta sauce like ragu, overnight or all day with a drained can of black or kidney beans. Then add mushrooms halfway through or near the end. You can also do this with a can of mushroom soup, the smaller one where you need to add any water (but don't add water). Then add some creamed cheese to that, half a container and sliced mushrooms for a cheapass beef stroganoff. I use pineapple cream cheese, its weird but the sweetness counterbalances the soup and beef. Simply boil some egg noodles (I like lancia) and enjoy!

Rice and tuna and fried eggs is also good, I like to use sliced T&T brand luncheon meat. You fry half a container sliced on a pan until it gets crispy, eat with a sunny side up egg and rice. The meat is very salty but the rice balances it out.

Pasta is also very easy, you can do lasagna with simple veggies and it makes a lot. Or casseroles. one of my faves is to brown chicken or beef, take it off, fry up some veggies (or use the frozen medley), then add a can of the larger mushroom soup and season. Then pour and layer over macaroni or penne or linguine, some cheese, bake it in the oven with foil for 35 min, then 5-10 minutes with some parmesan cheese sprinkled on top under the broiler.

Also shepherd's pie (actually cottage) is easy to do too, just make a larger layer on potato on top to make it more filling, add cheese to it as well. Use ground beef or even cut up beef that is marinated for more heft.

Am I the only one who meal preps? I cook every 3 days and portion it into 4 a day. 8am, 10am, 2pm, 4 pm. Sometimes my last meal gets pushed back to 530, or I’ll combine the 10 and 2 into one at noon depending on what site I’m on. I’d be lost without my Tupperware meals

I don't know why I don't own a crock pot. Maybe Santa will fix that.

Beverly Hills. In the Kitchen eatin' vittles.
I always have ziplock bags of fresh kale, chopped veggies, chopped cabbage (green and purple) in the fridge.
Throw a couple of handfuls of each into a bowl along with some pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, pine nuts and dried cranberries. Add a splash of raspberry vinegrette and some pepper.
You're good to go!

Cheers

Now THAT surprises me Jethro.......I always wondered what you paired with that roadkill ,to hide that annoying rubber tire taste.

Well am not scrounging the last bit of food from my frig because payed for sex.
I have not seen any girls for the last 8 month since dealing with my cancer .
Any spare money I had when to eating berries, nuts, more veggies and fruit juices . And staying away from carbs and sugury as best I

And then all the different suppilments I been taking ,about 8 of them these day..and months ago I was taking canabisoil..which was not cheep either..
I was just managing from pay day to payday ..but lately have had to take more day off for tests and see doctors it all cuts in to food.

80$ of groceries does not go far when it's packs of berries nuts fresh fruits and veggies and a few essential . It is one bag at best and is gone in 3 or 4 day..

And I also have a job which requires me to put out money for expenses and wait to get payed back on pay day.
It worked ok till I got cancer.. now it staring to get tuff and that's with me still working .
Not sure what I'll manage on when I can't work .

PS. Just clarifying why I wrote about cheep food.
You can read more about my dealings and feeling on my cancer ..on my thread "can't fix cancer with a band side.
If your interested.

I truly feel for ya, JS! (tackling cancer AND for having to stretch the dollar at the grocery store to get something healthy into you at a time you need it most).

It is INCREDIBLY frustrating as a consumer that the healthiest food (with the most minimal of processing, if at all) tends to be the most expensive. I can understand it may cost a bit more to safely transport fresh produce (whether locally, nationally, or beyond) but why that should so outweigh the costs that must be incurred to process/freeze/preserve/etc food (which invariably lessens its nutritional value) which then still has to be transported (just not quite as carefully), I just cannot see.

Fried cheese mmmmmmmmm!

I have watched that video before and to be blunt I cant fathom how much money that guy has made from Youtube as he easily has over 5 million views.....fucking nuts is all I can say.

For a single guy a slow cooker is a no brainer to OWN as it is so awesome....I do my pulled pork in mine.Take a nice section of pork loin and roll it in spices.Slice up an onion and put in the bottom of the slow cooker and lay the pork loin on top....pour in a can of Coke and set it on low for 6-8 hours and BAM you have wicked pulled pork.

With a slow cooker you can use lower cost cuts like pork shoulder, chuck roast etc. With a combined pressure/slow cooker, you can do beef brisket cured like Montreal smoked meat and all its variants. That and a small convection oven are the two most used appliances I own.
