I know many of you use them so I have a few questions.

A) Where do you purchase them? I've gone to a few 711 and Mac's and neither carry them like they used to.

B) How many minutes do you generally get with them and what's the quality? Like, it's somewhat coherrent, right?

C) Do you have to charge them before useage/what's the battery life on them? Especially now that the US border guards are checking phones on a more frequent basis, I'm starting to think a burner phone may not be the worst idea for US road trips.

Any tips suggestions would be appreciated

It won't help for your US road trips, but you might want to try one of the many apps for your smartphone.
Just throwing this in there but I and some others are starting to turn down clients using Apps. Many of us are getting an increasing amount of fake and WOT bookings using text apps. I had 5 in one day. I know its not just me but many other girls and many that have no connection to me so doesn't seem to be targeted.

Just a fyi if you use a text app and get girls passing on the booking. Burner phone is better, at least we know you won't change your number every 15 minutes like the text app guys do right after they book.

I don't use a burner why not just leave screen lock turned on and set to vibrate to not arouse too much attention. You could say that you want to use your phone to make debit payments on 'tap' enabled checkouts. This requires that you keep lock screen enabled for security.

711 still sells a Speakout phone. You pay by the minute but the minutes don't expire for a full year. Most other plans from Telus etc the minutes expire after one month whether you've used them or not. If you don't like their flip phone you can still use their plan and purchase a SIM card and use a cracked phone that you do like.

Turn it on when you're pooning and turn it off and hide it in your car when you're not playing.

Sad to hear this Riza, because my phone is a flip phone, and if you have ever tried to text using a flip phone, you will know why when I'm contacting someone who prefers a text over a call, I use an app on a small tablet instead.

I use 7 11 Speakout phone myself. Rest of the info is in Har-don's post.

I spend about 150 a year on top ups. But for an average pooner its pretty good. .

Repeat: Yes, I do refill it every few months with $100 and usually I get a $25 bonus.

Recommend: Yes. Their first phone was Blackberry lookalike, but not very good. They gave me an Acer as a promotion once. This one is not exactly top of the line either but it is doing its job.

1. how can you tell if someone is using a text app?
2. do people really have that much time on their hand to make fake bookings?

Actually initial contact on a app is ok but must have a followup on a real number even if it is just a voice call. Just not taking chances anymore.

1. Fairly easy. The apps lease pre-fixes from Canadian companies. The biggest offender is Iristel that leases to Textme. (we have a app for that)
2. I have no idea. They must have sad life just to spend the countless hours it would take to book the fake ads.

If the provider asks for a cel phone callback number, I much prefer communicating that way.
I'll make sure to include my cel phone callback number in any text I send in the future.

So long as you have wifi or data, most apps work just about anywhere. I've been saying for it quite some time now - burner phone app over a 2nd prepaid phone all day, any day.

Another one for speakout 7-11 on a cheap phone
Another vote for the speakout.

Not a flip phone, and it is TINY.
Same here. I already have one. I even got one for my parents. They only need it when they have some appointments etc. and need to call taxi or some other emergency. I spend about $100 a year on top ups but I poon a lot. I recommend it strongly.

In Your Wildest Dreams!
1. how can you tell if someone is using a text app?

2) Fake bookings cost us real clients. Yesterday I had a booking at noon that I was 85% sure it was going to disappear, when I got a text at 11;30 asking for availability. 2 pm would have been too late, & if I agreed to 'right now', it would have been too close to 12! By 11:45 my instincts were screaming at me, & so I texted back to say I was certain I would be free to take an appointment at 12:30! I saved that one, but it didn't help me when the 5:15 guy never showed up. It doesn't matter whether it's malicious, accidental, loss of nerve, working overtime, significant other makes plans, a cheap thrill for a masturbating asshole, or just someone playing "Sooner for Cheaper"...It costs me income. It costs the other women working from the same in call the opportunity to book the space; it costs the owner of the in call the fee for the hour. When guys wonder why we ask for deposits on longer appointments, or insist you call for our in call addresses once you are parked close by...this is why!
