I can only think of two reasons:

1. I love the sex, I mind as well get paid for it.
2. I don't mind the sex but I love the money.

If there are other reasons, I love to hear it.

Oh my, do you live in a simple world. There are probably as many reasons as there are women working in this business. And most of them are very, very personal. Of course the bottom line in this business is always, "money for sex." But what leads people to engage in those transactions, is so much more complex. You'd need Sigmund Freud to figure that out!

It probably as complicated and as mariared reason as why a man deside to see escorts or SPS.

It not as simple as wanting sex all though that is a driving force.

And I doubt if it as simple as making money from sex.
There are 100s of millions of women who would not even consider working in the business. And from my experience most of the girls that are in the business don't want to be but they can't think of or are unable to fine an alternative at the moment.

Of course there is no job I know of that pays 200 ,300, 500 an hour or more ,that you can do with out university degree or trade papers.

Gambling perhaps

The fact that providing sexual services has been apart of society for 1000s of yrs day there is once constant in the human condition.

And man and women constantly have a struggle with the right and wrong and the morel ty of their sexuallity .Their needs of companionship and intancy which is a driving force in each and everyone's life. And all creatures.

Hey I'm a simple guy with a sheltered upbringing. You can fault me for wanting to learn. There are, of cause, abusive situations but in our world of PERB, we're not like that, I hope. I just would like ti hear what sone of these "personal" reasons nay be if it's not driven by money or sex.

I'm sure there are many other reasons. But considering the very nature of this is money for sex (or sex for money depending on who's looking at it), the reason will always have something to do with sex, or money :)

I'm just being a smart ass

I doubt its number 1. Women can get laid no problem if they want. Not like pooners are a more desirable higher class of skilled suitor.

Their compensation for service provided is cold hard cash so I'm going with number 2, final answer.

Generalizations are only bad when I write them.....

Why would a woman enter the sex trade?

- She needs to support her kids because the old man fucked off and doesn't pay support
- She needs an income & she's "OK" with doing this.
- She hooked up with a less than desirable guy who "put her out there" to pay for his drug addiction
- Her life turned upside down because something happened and she had to find a way to make an income.
- She left an abusive relationship and this was a way out.
- She enjoys sex and is able to do this for an income.
- she's got outstanding student loans and this is a good way to cover them

Or the 1000 other reasons why she's here. Each situation is individual. The whole "love the money" comment is about as misogynistic as it gets. #W0W

don't forget one of the biggest ones - drug addiction!

Sure that is a part of this. Personally I think the addiction is probably the outcome of a not so great life. The two go hand in hand and each feeds off each other.

Tell ya one thing though. I doubt you'll ever see a dude standing on the corner offering to take it up the ass hard to pay for diapers. Just saying.

Really....take it hard up the ass often enough and the dude will probably need diapers....just a thought.

Unfortunately on the boards, there is a lot of misogyny and cyber bullying and threats of bad reviews in exchange for discounts or restricted services (like bareback) and blackmailing going on which is another form of abuse. It's especially sad to see it being tolerated when the bulk of the income from the boards comes from the advertising pockets of the SP's themselves, not the male members.

Why do you think it's being tolerated? I remember long-term reviewers, thousands of posts, were banned on PERB when they used the threats of bad reviews.

Please make sure to report any such behaviour. I'm certain mods here will do what they can.

Let's see, why is an accountant an accountant?
Why is a doctor a doctor?
Why is a carpenter a carpenter?

Something about needing to eat....

Everyone has to work at something if they want to exist unless they are independently wealthy.

sure a woman can get laid if they want but what kind of guys is she going to find? As an SP, she has the choice (if she wants) to screen the type of guys and select the ones that are respectful and more likely to have the right chemistry even before they meet.

Sort of my point exactly. I'm saying that there's nothing wrong of being a SP because I think society need this service. We all, hopefully, are doing something that we're good at (and enjoy). For the right reasons, I for one, am appreciative of the fact that SPs exist.

Part of the allure of being a escort is the financial freedom and enjoying a lifestyle that would be hard to achieve even you had several degrees and a professional career.

Most professional occupations have terrible hours and most corporations act like they own the fiber of your being. Successful SP's own property, travel and enjoy a level of financial freedom that would very hard hard to find in the corporate world.

The Lifestyle is a huge motivator.

There are a number of SP's who are true hedonists sharing a common bond with men who have similar libido's. The commonality is both the client and the SP were not getting enough from civie's so it's a natural bond.

I've heard this from students, single moms and single women that no matter how they put themselves out there the male Civie has difficulty in this fucked up politically correct world to say "we should fuck". A few student SP said their BF would be happy with 2x a week while they wanted it 3x a night during their horniest part of their cycle. There's many like these women.

There are of course the monetary benefits for a lifestyle they may not be able to attain via conventional employment. Read that as females hitting that glass ceiling based upon gender not capabilities in the workforce.

Yes, the drug problem is also alive and well in the industry. Sad but true some are SP to support their habits being crystal, coke or whatever have you.
