"In the end, it was those who loved him that were destined to die young. He was the rock they broke themselves against."

I've told you how much I love that movie!

a couple from one of my favorite flicks

Cop: You know what happens if you do another turn in the joint?
Hockney: Uh... I fuck your father in the shower and then have a snack? Are you going to charge me, dickhead?

Fenster: I had a finger up my asshole tonight.
Hockney: Is it Friday already?

Read the books. They are brilliant. TOM CRUISE is not, cannot, will not ever be Jack Reacher, who is described as being 6'4", 250 lbs with hands the size of cast iron pans...so I simply refuse to admit the movie exists.
Interesting. I have not read the books but my sister did. She basically said the same thing as you.

"Goodness is something to be chosen. When a man cannot choose he ceases to be a man."

"No time for the old in-n-out, love, I've just come to read the meter."

"We were all feeling a bit shagged and fagged and fashed, it being a night of no small expenditure."

"Initiative comes to thems that wait."

Some quotes from a movie I like "A Clockwork Orange" by the famed director Stanley Kubrick. The role of Alex was portrayed by renowned actor Malcolm McDowell. This was the first big success for MM and helped to bootstrap his career in film. The soundtrack has a lot of Beethoven's music. Stanley Kubrick was very good at making maximum use of a good soundtrack in his films .

The book was better though. When reading the book, it is amazing how Anthony Burgess introduces this new language in such a subtle manner that you are almost unaware of it. If you opened the book at the midway point you might think "this is unreadable!". He certainly used his training as a linguist to pull of this interesting piece of literature. I definitely recommend reading the book. It is quite modest in size btw.

I finally watched Anchorman 2 the other day and this exchange made me think of Hatrick... I think he'll get a kick out of it :D

Ron Burgundy sharing words of wisdom for his son...

Ron: "My little man. You promise to do good in school, okay?"
Veronica: "Okay..."
Ron: "And stay away from the he-shes.
Veronica: "Ron!"
Ron: "...down in the Bowery.
Gary: "Ron, I don't think that's appropriate."
Ron: "I'll tell you, those fellas, they got the looks, they got the curves, they got the chi-chi's, and then at some point during the evening, you reach down below the belt looking to get a little angel hair pasta, and you get a handful of the Battle of the Bulge." You hear what I'm saying, Walter?"
Walter: "Yes, I do."

Dobbs: "If you're the police, then where are your badges?"
Gold Hat: "Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinkin' badges!"

Could be my most favourite movie of all time, so it's hard to pick one great line but, "Butter in my ass and lollipops in my mouth," is pretty classic.
