My first post so patience with me please. I've been to a couple MP and enjoyed that experience. Was getting ready to see a well reviewed SP when I started reading about the new law and backed off. I'm a little sad I didn't go before this but I can't get a criminal record might as well jump off a bridge I mean my job would be gone and everything else. I am a little confused. Is it a criminal charge first time? Is there a safe way of doing this? I hate the idea of a law that's not enforced unless so LEO has a hair up their ass. If it's a fine then I'd pay it and say it's the price of enjoying myself but a record and I'm out just can't do it.

If you have a particular lady picked out, and she has been around awhile, before the new "law". The chance of getting busted is negligible. Especially in Vpd territory. The only thing I am concerned with is if it's obvious she has an incall that is annoying all her neighbours

Do you play Lottomax ? Based on the John arrest statistics since the introduction of the new law I would say the odds that you'll busted are about the same as you winning Lottomax this year.https://terb.cc/vbulletin/showthrea...FTER-NEW-PROSTITUTION-LAW-ENACTED-Sun-Article

Those rehab funds will end up going to the wacko churches that appeared at the C36 hearings.

I've been wondering how I can dip into those funds to help pay for my post secondary education lol. Any idea how I would go about finding out about that? I mean, it's literally to transition out and isn't that what they said that money is for?
You'd think they'd have some kind of application process set up by now, since they were SO worried about our safety.

Hey man, they promised that money and if I can get some to help me while I'm in school then great. But I don't even know where to begin to look :/ school is going to cost me about 30k for the first 18 months, and that's a modest estimate. I'll take any grant I can get.
You should just email Pete Mackay's office and ask them. Honest. And do let us know what he says.

BCNeil's advice sounds about right. Stick with the pro's. It's all about being discreet (Van or elsewhere). If anything, the bigger worry would be the Taxman. It's business and "the man" demands his cut of the action. But all should be good, as the pros know the score.

My advice: Don't poon in RCMP jurisdictions. Stick to Vancouver and Victoria if you can.

That's ridiculous. There's many safe, reputable SP's in the Fraser Valley. Just do your research first.

;)
I'm scared of the valley, even reputable SP's have nosy puritan neighbours. Yes, Van and Vic can have those too. However the VPD(s) have no interest in enforcing this unconstitutional law. Then again, cops of the Fraser Valley are arguably as liberal regarding marijuana prohibition enforcement police in Van and Vic. As long as we keep updated, we should be fine.

Previously, most clients that got charged with solicitation got caught when they dealt with an undercover police officer. Therefore, if you saw an escort that has been reviewed then you should be fine because you would know that you were not dealing with an undercover officer. As VPD seems to have no desire to pursue criminal charges at this time you should be fine if you see an escort in Vancouver. But, in theory, there is a chance that you could be charged while this law is in effect. At the end of the day you have to weigh the risk and decide whether you can accept it.

Very true. The first charged client in Saskatchewan was only given a $300 fine. I'm sure it cost far more than $300 in resources, so I'm having difficulties understanding why any effort should be made trying to enforce this legislation. Although I'm certain that the intention of the bill is to force law-abiding purchasers to undergo Salvation Army sponsoured "sex is bad" school.

If your sentence is a fine, then you have a criminal record. This is for criminal matters. Not to be confused with getting a fine for a driving offense, for example.

lol i was thinking about this post right now, and i was wondering...how would you prove you were ever a sex worker? In BC it never required any licensing...so i wonder how this bright idea is going t work, they are a bunch of liars i bet.

I'd like to take this opportunity to announce my retirement from providing escort services and am applying for the aforementioned funding.
Thank you ladies for your years of regular appointments, I'll miss you all.
