Tipping an SP? Does it make any sense?

In quite a few reviews pooners mention that they leave a tip for an SP. I've never understood the logic behind it. Typically tipping is intended for low and unfairly paid employees making minimum wage or so (waiters, gas station attendants, etc). Nobody tips lawyers, dentists and other 'fat cats'.

In case of SPs in Vancouver, the rate for any consistently decent service is already a robbery. Most of reasonably priced SPs are involved in outright fraud (B&S, fake pics, lying about services provided) and steal your money. After all the years of pooning in Vancouver I can only name just a few SPs which were reasonably priced and provided good service at the same time. They are rare and hard to find. And by 'reasonably priced' SPs I don't mean low priced - their rate can be considered 'reasonable' only compare to the outrageously high average.

So why would you give a tip to an SP who likely makes way more money than you do?

I've seen hundreds of Sps, and really only a few warranted a tip. Less than ten.

Pricing and tips should be quarantined in a subforum. Same stuff every time eh?

Same stuff? I guess I've missed the previous discussions...

1: pooner complains about pricing
2: SP responds with list of expenses
3: brief inconclusive debate follows
4: pooner complains about Sps not paying taxes
5: SP insists they do
6: expensive SP may chime in with condescending comment about econo pooners
7: pooner may get irate, comment about SP job being easy and he had to go to school blah blah
8: thread locked after tempers rise

Ha ha so well put.
Well I for one have tipped a couple sps but not many. Service and atmosphere must be ideal and I need to be on cloud 9 in order to pull out my wallet and reach for more. I do see the well established girls tho so I pay the price and expect quality service. It is only when they exceed my expectations that an extra few bucks comes into play.

OMG! What have I started! May I suggest something new? Why don't SPs start tipping good pooners - those who are not late for appointments, repeat clients, clients that make an SP cum, etc... :)

I agree. If an SP meets a good looking guy whom she enjoys having sex with, why is their no cheap repeat offer? I am not saying me, but never read a review where a person claims he had relationship with an SP giving him a preffered membership discount. Perhaps an hour for the half hour rate or buy six sessions get the seventh free.

The best SPs do tip good pooners - with special attention, cheerfulness, and extra care in the service. And the ones who do this are not all at the high end of the price scale.

Really, why not? No discounts for good/repeat clients? That's pretty brutal and not smart at all... Needless to say, I never ever got even a free drink from an SP in Vancouver (e.g. coke) - a glass of warm water at best. :)

For a one-time meeting it probably doesn't make sense, but if a client becomes a regular it probably is a way to thank the SP for a little extra attention or ensure future meetings will be enthusiastic.

I must say, your attitude and comments about SP's makes me wonder why you bother pooning if you think you're being robbed?

Isn't it the other way around: SPs should thank repeat clients with a little extra attention to ensure future meetings will be scheduled with the same SP and not someone else? Isn't it what smart businesses do?

I try to avoid being robbed obviously, though being robbed here in Vancouver is a rule rather than exception.

Yes, it's probably smart for an SP to try to retain safe, polite, clean, respectful clients, but they still have to earn a living and I think most reward good clients with extra attention and sometimes more or better service.

We might expect this from a newbie, however, as a 7 year member, you should have learned long ago to use the Search function. It took me all of ten seconds to find out that since Jan. 16, 2004, there have been 29 threads with "tipping" in the title, of which 2 are not industry-related, so that leaves 27 threads on tipping in the sex industry. The latest one prior to this one was started on April 8, 2014. That poor horse turned to dust long ago.

Every good relationship with an SP has been just like that.

Time to up your game phreak.

Just wondering who tips their doctor or accountant or other professional (some of whom charge less per hour than a good or even average SP)?
Are these ladies professionals? Then we should treat them as such when they are independent and running their own business.

However, at the low end where the ladies are working for someone else and only getting a portion of the fee, then if there is good service, I will tip.

Let's just imagine for a moment that both of us want to repeat with a certain SP.

My email is received and she says BBB, hmm generous, brought a small box of chocolate and a bottle of wine too.

Hmm phreak emailed me too. Not happy with the donation plus zero tip. Guess he wasn't a happy pooner.

Come on over BBB

If they are independent, working out of their house/condo and set their own rates, I see no need to tip. I saw them because their rates and services fit what I am looking for. If they set their rates too high, I am unlikely to see them. If they under value their service, they are likely to be too busy to see me. So I look for the happy medium, with a fair rate and hopefully great service. IMO, the best "tip" is repeat business, and/or referrals.

Do you expect your server at a restaurant to tip you for not being an ass?
Miss Melody, have you read my very first post that started this thread? I believe I have clearly stated why it may be appropriate to tip a server, but not an SP.
