I'm also going to say Rangers in 6 on the strength of Lundquist's goaltending.

I only did totals for people who started in round 1, since people that just made picks for round 3 and/or 4 can't really earn that many points.

Thanks for stepping up bcneil to manage the thread. :thumb:

It was a hell of a ride through all four rounds. It was cool for me because in each round I was in a US city that had excellent Sports Bars and some really knowledgable fans even in the Southern States.

Kings are Kings again and if they can keep the core together they'll be in it again soon.

bcneil,

thanks again for the great job you did in
managing a fun thread. and although the Canucks weren't in,
I enjoyed a lot of the games for how it was played–
with a lot of speed and nastiness.

looking forward to next season.

nope.. you can choose this though to make you feel better:

Can San Antonio Spurs close it out tonight in Miami Game #5 or Game #6 back in San Antonio. NBA finals.

San Antonio Spurs have a 3-1 series lead over the 2 time Champion Heat.

So here are the questions:

Can Miami win 3 straight games 1 at home 2 away to secure the 3rd Title?
Can San Antonio win 3 straight in Miami Closing out the Heat in 5 games?
If Miami wins tonight can San Antonio close the deal in Game #6 or game #7 on their home court.??

Go Spurs Go..
Spurs has the better starting 5.
I thought the rematch would be good to watch,
but it's been blow-out city for most of the games.

b-ball has lost its appeal for me over the years. too many whistles
and time outs.

time to enjoy summer in the city.

er,they don't play tonight, Game 5 is Sunday night, and it's not in Miami, it's in San Antonio.

the NBA switched this yr from the 2-3-2 format for the final series to the 2-2-1-1-1 like the NHL.

so, the Spurs don't have to win 3 straight in Miami, they can win the 3rd straight game, but at home.

not meaning to be a stickler-for-this-kind-of-s..t, but just writing in the interest of accuracy.

I hope the Spurs win,but I still fear the Heat.

I recall Game 6 of the NBA finals last year when it looked like the Spurs were going to wrap up the series.

the "fans" were streaming out,as you say, like the rats on a sinker, and missed the Heat rally that forced O/T.
I only hope they were denied re-entry if they tried to come back inside for o/t.

If I remember right, I think even some of the Heat called out the "fans" for their desertion?
