The recent SCC decision focused somewhat on safety in their deliberations but if the recommendations of the Fraser Commission report had been implemented years ago how many women's lives may have been saved. The report decriminalized, provided for licensed "safe places", and other things to enhance and secure safety.

I note that the woman is referred to as an escort and wasn't listened to, while the man was listened to and the couple was arrested. You would think that Police would have learned from the Picton case, but they haven't.
According to the article "Because the victim was unable to provide a coherent account of what happened, Vezina was released from jail.". The police can't hold someone based on a rambling or changing account by the person making the accusation.

Very common excuse (reason ) given by police for not taking statements . This is not acceptable policing practise when dealing with sex assault and sex work

Do you think that people should be charged on the basis of an incoherent account? What is it was directed at you?
