Philippine Adventures - Taxi's, Casa's and Ladyboys

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Tant`s amazing thread about his Philippine adventures, and since it has been well received, and Tant asked... ...here`s repaying a bit of the entertainment I`ve received.

I`m no equal to Tant`s fine prose, so I will try and make it up with a few pics.

I decided to try out Perb`s blog feature, and so will post all of my stories there - not in the lounge. This sneak (non-report) will be my only lounge posting.

One reason is because I do have pics. I will be switching the blog access to `contacts only` soon so that the blog is not open to the internet. If you want to continue to have access - friend me.

3. Taxi`s, Casas. and Ladyboys

Ladyboys, scamming taxi drivers and new punting grounds - it`s more FUN in the Philippines!

Lost passport.
I left my passport in a taxi. I know I did because I had it in my hand when I got in, and didn`t when I got out. As soon as I noticed I went running, but the taxi had already left. The hotel was great - running security tapes to get a pic of the cab, leaving messages for a manager who never responded, and then yesterday the cabby showed up with my passport. It was just in time, as I was going to go to the embassy to cancel it and get a replacement.

He had not received any messages, the cabbie said. He felt SO bad for me that he didn`t take ANY fares for TWO DAYS and spent it running around the city going to all the places he could remember just because he felt SO BAD for me. But he used TWO TANKS of gas, and he has THREE KIDS to feed - pics to prove, and his boss is mad at him, and he might lose his job.....

Would PHP3000 shut him up?

That would do fine. I was just glad to get my passport. Lesson learned.

Hooker houses
Of course now the cabbie and I didn`t have anything to talk about, so of course we talked about women. He said I was spending too much money in Makati and could do better elsewhere. Like THIS place - which we JUST HAPPENED to be driving by.

Well the reason that I got away with only PHP 3,000 (actually more like 2,780) was that I had squirreled my 1,000`s into another section of my wallet, and was giving him ALL I HAD. I`m hungry but his kids are more important. I WOULDN`T EAT TONIGHT.

Two can play at this game.

I couldn`t just magically find hooker money now, so I said we`ll go back tomorrow. No, he said, just take a look...

What the hell - a rundown building - through a rusty gate to a covered driveway with a broken down bike strewn about, through another door - and we`re in heaven - I would guess 30-40 WG`s ranging between 5`s and 8`s lining the walls on couches. This place must do quite a bit of business. Taxi guy had told them I had no money and was just looking.

We asked for pricing and was told 4,000 LT. Both taxi guy and I were surprised. In the cab he said it should be about 2,500. They were overcharging me. He knows better places in Manila.

No thanks, enough adventures for tonight. Back to the hotel.

And Ladyboys
Out for a walk and a drink, and an amazingly hot girl offering a massage for PHP500 with extras available. Up to the room and she said "You know I`m a ladyboy, right" just at the same time that I was thinking "what big feet you have".
Looks that are too good to be true -- sigh :yield: (Sorry, no pics, it was an, um, close shave)
So I just chatted for a while - never really talked to a LB before - she was 5 years old when she decided she wanted to be a girl - and never looked back. Family was supportive. Hasn`t had the final surgery yet.
Did I still want the massage? Sure, what the hell - it will just cap off the day. Damn good massage, lots of strength in those fingers!
On the way out she smiled and said "I`ll call you when I get a pussy".

Your adventure sounds a lot more like some adventures I have had as a young sailor in Manila, also in many other ports around the Pacific.

Rip off Taxi drivers shilling for establishments which will kick back, overcharging establishments and of course the inevitable "lady-boys" are all par for the course.

In all fairness, Asian Lady-boys are a little more difficult for us North Americans to pick out easily. Hands and feet are the best indication as the adams apple and jawline tend not to be as prominent.

What a roller coaster of events. Reminds me of the time I left my wallet on the bus during a grad trip abroad a couple years back. I sprinted 5-6 blocks in chase and was lucky a red light finally stopped the bus.

Yes, I`ve loads of photos too, but promised several ladies they were for my eyes only, and that I wouldn`t put them on the internet.

Some quick comments on your post & 1st instalment of your blog. Interesting stuff. Sorry your first days in Manila didn`t quite go as swimmingly as one would hope.

1. Happy you got your passport back. Must have been quite an ordeal. I always use Tilley pants and vests when I travel: they`ve lots of safe pockets. www.tilleyvancouver.com/

2. Sounds like that house with working girls was a ripoff. Glad you walked (if only because you didn`t enough cash on you).

3. Your ladyboy story gave me a hearty chuckle. There`s a corner in Angeles, too, where ladyboys hang out. They`re usually recognizable by their height, Adam`s apple and deeper voice. I got a lot of kitty showings out of bargirls—right in the bars—by saying, "Not sure I want to barfine you. You`re not a ladyboy, are you?"

4. Loved your "Michelle" post and the excellent write-up. But man...whoever heard of paying P6000 (almost $150) for a girl in the Filipines? Thommo blasts Burgos St. on his Manila page precisely for this reason: as customers have become fewer in Burgos bars, they`ve escalated prices in an attempt to make up the difference. Filipino business logic. www.whorist.com

Hope we can start a bit of a trend to encourage brothers to post travel reports. There`s more to life than work, and more to pooning than Vancouver. I`m glad my report encouraged you—just as Chica Chaser`s report encouraged me, not only to post travel reports, but to seek part of my erotic bliss on foreign shores in the first place.

The surgeons get better every day. And when the hormone therapy starts before puberty, it is pretty much impossible to tell. Call me old fashioned though... ...it's child abuse. There's no way you can make an informed decision at that age.

Yes, I've loads of photos too, but promised several ladies they were for my eyes only, and that I wouldn't put them on the internet.

I was surprised just how unconcerned they are about it. The first pics I took was a few years ago in Thailand, I asked - expecting the Vancouver 'sorry no, and btw are you crazy' look, and got a 'no problem' instead. And you look at pics they share - most, but not all, are just nuts about what they put online.

Part 2 of the blog is up now - Bianca - who actually did separate some pics into the 'just for you, ok?' category. Of course I've respected her wishes. Sorry guys, no Bianca titties. Her blog posting is set to contacts only - so you must be logged in to see it.

You don't see Filipino men in the bars that target tourists, they can't afford it. Hell to buy the girl a beer will cost you a day's wages. Barfine and girl - two weeks wages. Filipino men go to "casa's" or 'houses' where the prices are cheaper. But the guy who runs the casa can see a western face and know what to raise the price to.

Actually I compare a casa more to a Vancouver micro. The girl really has no choice. The guy shows up and she has to fuck him. With the bars the girls can and do choose. They can make themselves hidden behind friends, avoid eye-contact, etc. Even if mama is watching, you buy them a ladydrink first - you can tell if they are eager or not.

Also, I'm not so sure about those casa's HR recruiting and retention practices. Apparently some are pretty damn cheap.

But on the other hand a taxi driver was telling me about a casa ON - yes ON, he said - the university campus. Apparently some of the uni students board there and work their way through school.

A schmuck. I readily admit it. But guys here pay a premium for Swedish Touch too. It doesn't affect the rest of the market. If you are fresh in the city - sometimes you don't want to expend the effort. And the girl only got 3,000 of it which I don't begrudge her at all.

You were smart to have a guide see you through your first days. All the book-learning in the world doesn't teach you what your apprenticeship gave you!
