Long story short the condom broke. The girl freaked and demanded me pay her 40 or go buy her the pill at the pharmacy. I said I'm only willing to pay half and gave her 20.00
OP's original post initiating this thread. "Long story short", indeed. Based on what he revealed, he solicited support from Perb members for his actions.
Why the need for this? Some sense in him of possible shortfall in conduct?
After considerable blowback, then he adds several other details such as:
This was for 20.00 and I didn't have any more $ in my wallet. Gave her a extra 20.00 and session was 300. Thought she can deal with the 20.00. This woman didn't even want to go with me to the pharmacy.
Wanted me to deliver it to her.
With 320 in her pocket and working less than two blocks from a pharmacy . I felt I don't owe her anything.
Sam first writes "I said I'm only willing to pay half" to the girl. Then we discover "I didn't have any more $". I guess he could have used a CC at the pharmacy, if he had gone.
Particularly if the girl was Asian, there is a big stigma attached, a loss of "face", if she goes to the pharmacy to ask for Plan B medication. Asian or not, likely reason why she asked Sam to go.
My opinion is that a gentleman would have responded to the situation by first assuring the "freaked" out girl not to worry.
By offering without any hesitation to go to the pharmacy, buy the pills and return them to the SP.
Or, if he truly had no money beyond the $20 and no credit card at all (hard to imagine), by an explanation to her of that, and still offering to go to the pharmacy with his $20 and $20 from her.
Maybe gallantry and chivalry are dead. I'm old school.
Just my 2 cents.
