Bill, I hope you are joking! Add a little Sriracha and maple syrup, it is like Heaven!! Anyone who has been reading this thread knows I have a heart on for The Rumpus Room, and their chicken is boneless and the waffles are always done just right!!

Chicken & Waffles from The Rumpus Room (I do not usually use the gravy, just Sriracha and Maple syrup)
Sorry Vanessa. I am a purist when it comes waffles and pancakes. I don't mind having other items, say, eggs, chicken, steak, sausages etc. on the side, but not sandwiched or on top. I imagine the combo might go well together in terms of taste. However, for me it lacks visual appeal.

Purist!! Talk to any living in the southern US and they will say to ditch the maple syrup for grits. Yes, that's right. In then southern US they eat chicken and waffles with GRAVY and GRITS for breakfast. BREAKFAST!?!! Can you imagine!
The great thing is some of these waffle bars in Vancouver is that make waffles with sweet AND savory toppings so you can get the best of both in one place!

I love your sense of humor, Vanessa. Down south? They eat grits, possum, gator, and tonnes of road kill. If you want to experience TRUE culinary crepes, pancakes, and waffles then you need to take a trip to Europe where it was there where they invented and mastered the art of frying and baking dough :)

Vancouver restaurant claims world's most expensive hot dog
By Kendra Wong
Metro Vancouver

Vancouver is home to the most expensive hot dog in the world.

DougieDog Hot Dogs, a hot dog eatery on Granville Street, introduced a $100 wiener to their menu Tuesday.

The Dragon Dog is made up of a foot-long bratwurst infused with 100-year-old Louis XIII cognac ‘ which, on its own has a price tag of $2,000 ‘ Kobe beef seared in olive and truffle oil, fresh lobster, and picante sauce
“When people have food you have to be able to taste the different tastes, people have the chance to taste each (individual ingredient),” said Dougie Luv, owner and hot dog connoisseur of DougieDog Hot Dogs. “All the tastes intertwine with each other.”

The Dragon Dog may seem extravagant for most taste buds, but Dougie Luv insists it remains true to the original hot dog identity.

“I didn’t want to change the concept of a hot dog, we wanted to inspire it and bring it to the next level,” he said. “It’s a hot dog that anyone would love.”

No one has ordered the pricey wiener yet, but Luv said it will remain a permanent feature on the menu.

Patrons will need to place the order 12 hours in advance for ingredients to be prepped.

Luv’s creation beat out the $69 Haute Dog found at Serendipity restaurant in New York, who previously held the title of world’s most expensive hot dog.
Anyone feel like going halfsies? :D

I have heard good things about the Rumpus Room...used to work at a really REALLY crappy retail job near there, and one of my coworkers kept suggesting we go there after work one night but never did...The pics of the chicken and waffles make my inner fat girl drool.
