OK So I find it hard to believe Fred hasn't seen all of this himself while posting but here's what kinds of fucked up shit I get in Firefox.

Note: I AM USING FIREFOX.
On this thread, I clicked "Reply with quote", followed by "Go advanced ".
Below screenshots are from the page I got as a result (the preview page). * In Firefox *

The top of my screen in Firefox, with usual error + text on top of other text:

<a target='_blank' title='ImageShack - Image And Video Hosting' href='http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/593/ncv2.png/'><img src='http://img593.imageshack.us/img593/2216/ncv2.png' border='0'/></a>

A little lower, looking at the (empty) text box, all messed up in Firefox:

<a target='_blank' title='ImageShack - Image And Video Hosting' href='http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/819/21my.png/'><img src='http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/1841/21my.png' border='0'/></a>

Lovely. Moving on in Firefox...

Below the text box in Firefox, lots going on here too in Firefox:

<a target='_blank' title='ImageShack - Image And Video Hosting' href='http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/12/zg0f.png/'><img src='http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/1416/zg0f.png' border='0'/></a>

And then finally, at the bottom of my page in Firefox and where I would expect to see all the last posts, from the most recent to the oldest, neatly displayed in Firefox. Hm. Not quite.

<a target='_blank' title='ImageShack - Image And Video Hosting' href='http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/703/8jnv.png/'><img src='http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/5859/8jnv.png' border='0'/></a>

So, I don't know...but IMO it looks like absolute shit. In Firefox.

PS: Just tried a couple things and...

If I click "Reply" instead of "Reply with quote", I'm taken to the "advanced" page automatically and it displays properly. However as soon as I use the "preview" feature, the page is displayed all fucked up (same as above).

Fred, there are obviously some pretty big bugs that need to be addressed....

I have experienced the issue of not being able to go beyond page 1 of an escorts review.

I am using Safari on an iPad. I assume this is sanctioned?

Ps. I got the 90 second warning even though this is my first post in several days.

No such problem for me, I have Ipad with safari browser. On which page were you ? This problem is unique to Internet explorer.

Fred, I checked vBulletin. But it didn't say IE9 or above is not supported. Do you know that all latest stable browsers now support most scripting languages such as php, asp.net, jsp, etc. The difference is the layout engine of these browsers. Again the link only says IE6 and IE7, not IE8 and above. Also, all browsers now support HTML5, CSS3, JS (latest version), etc. So, you can't say it's browsers' fault now. Layout not good is still acceptable, but human coding errors are not. Hope you have obtained enough programming and/or industry knowledge and re-code everything. Stop messing up the live server, but try to download everything from the live server and do it on your own pc. Then afterwards, test thoroughly.

Sorry for the annoyance. Just trying to help and give you more input. :) Welcome to the programming world! :)
Don't worry I don't need to learn programming. If it's proved there is a coding error the software maker will release a patch to fix the problem soon.
If you want to make suggestions to improve the software go to:http://tracker.vbulletin.com/secure/ManageFilters.jspa
www.Vbulletin.com or www.vbulletin.org.
Until such time as the software is updated use Chrome or Firefox. It's working for me, it will work for you too.

Fred, I don`t mean to be an ahole, but because it`s not happening to you doesn`t mean it`s not happening to others. We are having issues with the new update to this site.

I had the 90 sec warning and double posting that got deleted.

Is it possible that we the customers are right and you the business have issues with the update? And can WE ALL go beyond blaming and denial and try to resolve the technical problems?

What do you need from us?

To answer your question, I was here and could not go to page 2.

FYI. I just got the "89 second" error. I'm on Chrome. Didn't have the error earlier when posting. Odd.
(not complaining, just hope this helps)

UPDATE: It may have to do with a ping-back or something. Office bandwidth was restricted when I was posting. There was no problem after the upload that was using up the bandwidth completed.

Must we really go around and around and around, and not actually get anywhere?

you've got to extinguish. Is vBulletin for layout (frontend) or the script (backend)? There are too many questions for you to investigate/research before upgrading!

I don't get any of this. I am in Firefox now ? My page is fine.

1) Are you logged in as admin? That might affect the results you get or what you see..

2) Did you do the same steps as I did and try the same scenarios?

3) Since one of your earlier posts appears to be a duplicate, you've also experienced this bug, have you not? How can you claim you are not having any of the problems we are reporting when you are getting the same results several people have all reported?

4) I'm not sure what you are saying here.. Are you telling us we're lying? We're making it up? That I just fabricated the results I posted? Because - please correct me if I'm wrong - but that is the only explanation I can think of as to why you're dismissing everyone who has reported having issues.

Like everyone else, I don't mean any offence but it's really not very cool to deal with members, especially paying advertisers, by dismissing their concerns without addressing them or looking into what is causing those issues.

I just tried it a couple of different ways and the duplicate posting seems to happen only when using 'Post quick reply' feature.

When selecting 'Go advanced' and then submitting from that page, post is fine: no "try again in 89 seconds etc" error and no duplicate (but if you select preview after your text is typed and before submitting, then expect the page to display funny lol)

If that helps..

People, as long as you click post, your post is actually fired to the system and stored into its database. The reason that the "try again in 89 seconds" is Fred messed up the logic in the code. :)

I am gonna bet $5 this post is not a double post. if it works I will edit in the why...

edit: no double post because I did not quote anybody.
Testing Miss VW's theory with quoting her...

Tried twice:

First time nothing happened, and I got the now infamous message (This forum requires that you wait 90 seconds between posts. Please try again in 90 seconds.), but my message didn't post at all.

Second time, I got the message, ignored it, clicked on the thread title, and the post had come through just fine.

PS I have never had a double post because, from the first time I was the now infamous message, I didn't believe it, and just clicked back on the title of the thread, only to see that my comment had indeed posted...

Is it possible it had not been 90sec since your previous post (not the one you were trying to post but the one you posted before that)?

If so, that's why it would give you the 90sec response and then not post it at all if you didn't submit when it had been 90 seconds since you last posted.

Not sure I am explaining it well..lol In other words, the 90 seconds response would have actually been valid because you were trying to post again when 90 seconds had not yet passed since your last post. Does that make sense? I

I got the message when I submitted the post above with a quote.

Trying it without quoting now. (After waiting 90 seconds lol)

Edit: I still got the message with or without a quote in my post.

Not sure if this was fixed or not.

I'm using Internet Explorer There are many sections with each of the cities/areas where you can't advance past page 1 (includes reviews, advertising, etc.). The only section that seems to work on my computer is the lounge section.
