I was more so referring to the pick up lines. But I've seen many girls in Kits was wearing yoga pants.. as well as in English Bay, Yaletown and gastown.. really depends on the time of day.. but everyone is entitled to their own opinion :)

Not really. The vast majority of Kits girls wear jeans, not yoga pants.

awesome! I will pay you back in hugs

I heard OZONE is the Surrey hotspot!! 7300 King George Highway
Surrey, BC V3W 5A5

After walking into Ozone, it won't take much to know that your night is going to be great. This nightclub packs in a lot of action with great music, excellent drinks and an exciting crowd. At Ozone, you can leave your cares behind and show your stuff on the dance floor where the DJ spins the latest and the greatest hits. The club is a fantastic place to come in with friends. So for a happening night in town, be sure to walk into the Ozone club in Surrey.

Can someone tell me what defines a "Surrey" girl? Which one liner would you use for that??:D
Sadly, Vanessa, I can...

I'm going to preface this by saying that a long time ago, I lived in White Rock proper, and we had a saying "Being a White Rock girl means never having to say you're Surrey!" "Surrey Girl" has long been GVRD code for 'cheap slut'. They have been the butt of jokes since time immemorial. Surrey Girl jokes are like blonde jokes, only the girls are slutty as well as stupid...comment on the Surrey School system? Perish the thought....

(ummm....where do I live now?....)

I'm a Surrey woman, not a Surrey girl.

In Your Wildest Dreams!
Two drunk Surrey girls are walking along a country road (because we still have those here) and they trip and fall headfirst into a ditch, then crawl into a nearby farmer's field and pass out. When they come to, one looks over and sees her friend under a cow, with a teat in each hand and one in her mouth.

"What are you doing?" she shrieks. Her friend spits out the teat, and says "Shut up and help me out...one of these guys has GOT to have a car..."

UMMM....

Ozone has been a shopping mall for several years now. Back in the 80s, it was the Newton Inn!

True story about the Newton: There was a graffito on the men's room door (so I am told) that read "Whose Your Dandy?"

Underneath, some genious had written "That's 'Who's Your Daddy?', you pildo!"

That still makes me grin.

Surrey, like any other city its size, has its nice neighbourhoods and its neighbourhoods you don't want to be in after dark. My area was all family farms 10 years ago: now it's a subdivision full of 3 level 'executive' homes, and everyone has a mortgage helper. There are basement suites, ground floor unit suites used as small businesses, and carriage houses. On Hallowe'en, half of my neighbours will be giving out fullsize treats, and the rest will be walking around with hundreds (LITERALLY) of other suburban zombie parents. Unfortunately the party neighbours who used to hand out beer to every parent that would take one have moved.

There are other areas of Surrey I wouldn't walk through during the day, like the rebranded, gentrified 'University Corridor'. Some of us remember when it was the Whalley stroll. A block away from all that new building, from all those beautiful "Yaletown style" condos, there are still crackwhores hustling on the street, and the Front Room (a drop in centre for the homeless with hiv/aids) operates at capacity every day.

The last time the yoga pants question came up, I took the time to pay attention to what every girl was wearing on her legs who passed by me at UBC when I was on the way to and from the SUB for lunch. At this time of the year UBC is packed with girls in the 17-21 year range, so IMO it is pretty representative of what girls on the west side are wearing.

The overwhelming majority of them (as in 80-90%) wore jeans of one description or another. The next biggest group was LuluLemon style tracks suit pants. After that skirts and yoga pants (often they were wearing both, with the yoga pants acting as leggings). Since fall had set in there were only a few in shorts. There were a couple in regular track suit pants, and one girl who appeared to be wearing pajama pants.

I am going on by what I have seen, whenever I have been on the West Side I have seen tons of girls in yoga pants. I am not there everyday. So I am going by what I have seen when I have visited these neighborhoods. If you disagree with me, you disagree with me.... As I said everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that is mine!

I see, I see... Hope My ignorance didn't offend! I grew up down town and my moms life rules went something like... Always be honest, always be polite, never talk back to your elders, never go to surrey, always wear clean panties, never take candy from strangers.... Lol
