50% of the leaders of Latin American countries are mestizos. But have you seen their cabinets, ministers, etc.? Overwhelmingly European, like 90%. But before the last decade, 100% of Latin American leaders where European and 99% of their other politicians were European. It is only recent years that things have BEGUN to change.glad(and surprised) you agree that "white boy" is racist.
btw, most of your apologetic scenarios are out of date.
eg check the leaders of Latin American countries and you'll find some are native or mestiszo(sp?)
what's wrong with eating "special" food?fyi, there are culinary delights out there,it is not a bad idea to take a break from your peanut butter&jelly sandwiches.
one last thing....check a calendar,it's 2013....you seem stuck in an earlier age.
There is nothing wrong with eating "special" food, that's not the point I'm making. The point I'm making is that being brown, asian, black, anything that is non-white is considered "exotic"; if you want a world of racial equals, nobody should be considered exotic because that means that someone else is considered the "standard" - the standard of norms of behaviour, the standard of beauty, the standard of culture, the standard of institutions, the standard of religions, the standard of political structure, the standard of financial transactions, in other words - the way the whole world is made.
It's 2013, I am not stuck in an earlier age - at 2013 we should have been much further along than we are now, we are pretty still living life like it was the 1960s because not much has changed since then - at least not enough to say we are equals and for someone to cry foul at being called "white boy" like it was such a humongous injury and equal to being called "black boy". And just so you know, personally I would not use "white boy" on anyone - not because of the principle of not being racist, but because someone has to be the bigger person in this so that even those who have had the advantage all along, who are incredibly ignorant against those he had advantage over, can feel like they are being treated "equally" - so that we can eventually improve things.
