Gfe movie on netflix

Has anyone seen this movie called Gfe Girlfriend Experience on Netflix? Its filmed in Vancouver, and its so funny totally reminds me of all you perbites minus the non-existent part about internet/incall hookups, its mostly focused around the clients and street sex workers. But it hits close to home! lol

Rented the movie. Slow plot, it dragged on. Felt like it

It was only 83 minutes long. The plot did drag on so it felt like it was longer and the point of view of the film was confusing. But it did touch on a few key points of the street SP business which by now has become obsolete unless the SP is hardcore into drugs. It would've been much more effective if the director had shot it in say, 1996 when there were more of these beautiful young women working the streets of Vancouver. But in 2009, they were all advertising on Craigslist so the point of the movie was obsolete. Maybe the director SHOULD have set the film in Vancouver in 1996 but even then it would have dragged on. Chalk it to bad direction and script.

Not the same film, but equally as boring...and 6 minutes longer.

Filmed in Vancouver is its only claim to fame. Rest of it is fairly lame and not very accurate character wise.

So far, Netflix even at $7.99 a month is pretty much a waste of time.

I did watch Hunt for Red October tonight and I love that show. :thumb:

I actually enjoyed it

but I didn't realize until further research that it was totally scripted and all of the people were just actors, so the release form signing and hiding the SP's face and acting do-overs were all faked!

Has anyone seen the Secret Diary of a Call Girl? I really liked it but I don't believe any SP loves her job THAT much. Probably does but its very rare. And the real SP who its based off of actually pursued this business to support her tuition payments, and in the show she did it only because she loved it so much and had already graduated university and wasn't in dire need of income assistance.

It's been a while since I saw it but from what I remember many of the "one liners" from those hidden identity clients sounded like they were lifted right from this particular forum.

Also, while I do understand your critique of the movie and those of the others who didn't like it, I have to admit that I do remember liking more of it than those elements that I disliked. But yes, I do remember thinking the ending was abrupt, unsatisfying and kind of a cop out (pun intended).
