Sam, if you are happier being single then enjoy it.
To everyone else going off topic: Divorce can hurt like nothing you have ever felt in your life or be more freeing than you can imagine. I've been through it and have felt both. The main reason some of these posts are so angry toward our Exes is because there is still pain. (Wow, this is almost turning into a Dr.Phil moment) Making generalized statements about women and men is like making generalized statements about a certain race or religion, often inaccurate.
For a while after my ex left I hated her so much there weren't words to describe it. Eventually I accepted that she had some major emotional/psychological problems and I couldn't fix her and gradually began to understand it all. She developed the courage to get the help she needed and eventually contacted me to explain/apologize why she did what she did. I told her there was no reason to apologize and I understood why it all happened. Today we still talk and occasionally spend the night together. We don't want to reunite and are happy with our separate lives. I've learned a great deal about myself from this and use that knowledge to avoid making the same mistakes in the future. She has moved past the pain and fear of an enormous amount of childhood abuse and is now strong and independent.
Change can be painful.
Not always one sided.
Learn from it.
Don't just carry it around.
