great header by Drogba to tie the game but not a fan of the shoot-out.
should be sudden death like hockey, nothing like witnessing war of attrition in sporting events.
will your opponent until they break down in pain and misery. REAL SPORTS, REAL DRAMA!

I believe Barcelona won the same trophy last year.

This season I think they won the Copa Del Reye(King's Cup)a Spanish competition.

The various leagues in England&Europe have a trophy for finishing 1st,and also a months-long
competition for another trophy eg FA Cup in the UK,Coppa Italia in Italy, etc.

This year Chelsea finished 6th or 7th in the standings but won the Champions League
on Saturday and the FA Cup 2 weeks ago.

So they get an international trophy plus a domestic one.

hope this helps,I'm sure there are more knowledgable guys than me who can add to this.

did some research, and turns out my perception of passing time is grossly outta whack. lol. it actually has been a full year since barcelona won. this clearly shows my level of interest in soccer.

Pretty good timing in being the Champions of Europe. Samsung has to shell out bigger bucks now to renew their relationship with FC Chelsea.

a comment that is off the original topic but.......

2 exceptional achievements,IMO are

A. Juventus' unbeaten season(yes, they lost the Coppa Italia but unbeaten in 38-game regular season)

B. Real Madrid got 100pts in their 38-game regular season.I very much doubt any other team has hit
the "century" mark for reg-season pts.

I was reading the options for breaking a 3-way tie as regards the possible scenario with Spain,Italy&Croatia.

I read&re-read&still don't know how it works,lol.

Bottom line seems to be if Spain-Croatia draw 2-2,Italy is f......d.

I'd be grateful if anyone can explain it si that even I can understand, lol
