I've got food, water, personal protection, but no bug out bag. How about you? My insurance is up to date too.

I've been ready for years. I even have a survival bag in two of the cars I drive most often just in case a natural disaster happens while I'm on the road.

Lets all hope we won't have to use our emergency kits.

Peace.

I'm ready, I got chocolate, vibrator and bottle of vodka to keep me warm........yeeeeeeeeeeh

I happen to have a similar disaster readiness strategy and the same basic survival kit. ... oddly enough its also my essential travel kit, snowed in kit, and all i have to do is put in a couple of good novels and it doubles as my weekend entertainment kit

I'll just pack up n leave if there's a natural distaster. Maybe go to thailand or somewhere else warm for 5 or 6 months again. When vancouver recovers i'll be back.

You got to be able to last 72 hours first. You can't just hop on a plane and fly away. Richmond is likely to be underwater if one happens.

Those so-called "protecting" condoms will prove invaluable. But be sure to demand
postpayment and nonstop bare sucking for 4 hours.

PM me. My helicopter will have a seat reserved for you and two hot Asian spinners.
Redheads if you like.

I recently had a very special client (Perber) bring me a VERY thoughtful gift as a housewarming present for my new incall, An earthquake kit! I must say it was probably the MOST thoughtful gift I've ever received, just knowing he thought of my safety and went out of his way to give something so thoughtful blew my mind. ;) There's some VERY special gentlemen in this world and I feel very blessed to know you guys. Here is my kit:

First aid kit capable of handling all sorts of flesh wounds, burns etc. Probably cost $90 but worth it.

Ten 21 litre bottles of water. In a rotation with newer stock so the water does not grow any bacteria.

Appropriate amount of canned and dried food.

Probably 15 LED lights with rechargeable cells (all charged) + sets of primary batteries once they are dead.

Wooden matches.

Two full 20 lb Propane tanks.

Battery powered SW/MW Sony radio c/w two extra sets of batteries.

Space blankets, sleeping bags, tents and back packs if required.

MOST IMPORTANT is to own a regular old telephone that plugs directly into the wall and does not require a battery or AC to power it. It is a little known fact that when our grid goes down that our land lines continue working off a - 48 DC power. Those Telus buildings you see all over the place have their back up systems in the basement. They are situated geographically to support the entire local neigbourhoods.

Probably the only reason I have kept an account with Telus but I digress :D

If the power goes out you can pick up your plain ordinary telephone you will still get a dial tone if you request it. It may take from a minute up to five minutes if you just stay on the line. It is part of the North American Telecom standard that you will get a dial tone as requested.
