Looks like Lui played alright tonight in the 'regular' game, seems to bounce back, just solid---so there u go, Giddyup, I do say some good stuff but boy, he sucks BIG TIME in shootouts! Thx goodness the playoffs dnt have that!

Every goal he let in the shootout, he looked just disgusting for a 'supposingly' top tier goalie. He's at best a middle tier one. Who wants him & his contract? Everyone knows he doesn't deserve it. We are screwed, boys & girls...

dunno as a fan point of view, too early to judge any players performance. i would start judging by mid-season oh ya is anyone playing NHL 2011 and picked the canucks as their team (while set on pro settings)? besides i think it gotta do with the team's chemistry... they already lost rick rypien due to suspension and now what is next? say what you wanna say about them nucks, but i just wanted to give my two cents... GO FLAMES (just kidding, well not a bad team since they got good history behind it)... no GO LEAFS (again just kidding)...

he needs to be better in the shoot out.

he just needs to be not a part of the problem. He just needs to play like he did yesterday say 9 times out of 10...

thought Lou played well in the game. Would have been great if he stopped one in the shootout however Toews, Sharp & Kane are pretty damn good in the shootout. Remember Toews in the World Jrs....he was unstoppable!

I am a canucks fan , realistic and not on and off the band wagon like sooooo many here.
However , they do have some serious problems that have to be addressed.
I think we are going to see more of Schnieder and later , AV will go witht he hot hand as the season progresses.
If they go into a real slump and keep losing games in this early part of the season , that will be a big hole to dig out of and we may see a trade and or AV gone.
I dont think Lou is tradable and no team would take on that huge contract , so love him or hate him we are stuck wiht him.
and He is a good to average goalie , so we should be thankful cause we could have Cloutier or much worse than Lou.
I think Schaffer is the same lazy player he always has been , and will never amount to anything , the 3rd and 4th line have to pick it up and get some chemistry.
I thnk Kesler will come out of the slump soon and will be great....and Samulson. They will have their days soon.
I dont think we have to push the panic button yet , but is we lose the next 5 games , then yes !!!

Is Schneider good in shootouts? Are we allowed to play Lou the whole game and put in schneider for just the shootout, and specialize him in shootouts only?

Its my understanding that yes you can put Schneider between the pipes for the shootout. The fear is a goalie going in "cold" could tear up a groin or suffer some other injury. I guess the good news is there are no shootouts in the playoffs :)

maybe after the next game, you can give him a sponge bath..

As usual hunny, your posts make zero sense. What does saying Lou played really well for the first 65 minutes have to do with giving him a sponge bath???
Truly bizarre

giddyup
do you know what i think is bizarre, giddyup...

when a guy like you who pays for sex, comes on an escort review board to tout his $10,000,000 a year goaltender because he played really well for 65 minutes:rolleyes:...

that my friend is bizarre...

while we are on the topic of bizarre, is there a more bizarre Mickey Mouse hockey town than Vancouver, fans and media, in North America...

the club submits a lineup to league officials before every game...

they could put anybody named in the lineup in goal for the shootout...

hell if they wanted to, they could put Keth Ballard or the Sedins in goal...

so yes, Schneider could go in goal for the shootout...

as for going in cold and pulling a groin, would it be too much to ask of one of your athletes who is making $500,000-$1000,000 a year to go to the dressing room and do some stetching and break a sweat riding the stationary bike for 15 minutes if a shootout looks eminent or is possible...

next question...

Speaking of bizarre...

So you have a goalie who was on his game for 65 min....

But instead you're suggesting pulling him for the shootout in favour of a goalie who hasn't taken a shot all night, irrespective of whether he's warmed up on the exercise bike or not...

That's a swell idea...

the question was asked rhetorically by ValleyGuy...

I gave him the answer...

if you went back more than one post, you may have realized that:rolleyes:...

seems Luongo is terrible at shootouts...

just ask giddyup and many other Nuck:rolleyes:fans...

I read it here on this escort review board, so it has to be true:rolleyes:...

I don't know...

maybe somebody can research his shootout record since he has played for the Canucks...

all I know is, Vancouver is a hellhole hockey city, homer media and kneejerk hysterical fans who think they are going to win the Stanley Cup every fucking year...

remember when the Sedins were called the sisters by the brilliant and astute Nuck fans...

those same fans would lick their sphincters now...

pathetic and boorish hockey city...

kind of like that other center of the universe, pathetic and boorish hockey city Toronto...

let's talk about the MLB, CFL, NFL or NBA as a change of pace...

here we are in the middle of the World Series playoffs, and all people talk about is meaningless hockey games two weeks into the season...

Canucks should make the playoffs along with 15 other teams...

how they do in the playoffs will determine whether their season was a success...

next question...

Actually, it was a rational, not a question ...

But even if it was, it's irrelevant to the fact that you were trying to further justify a suggestion when it's flaws had already been brought up...

Which is what I was addressing...

Nice try though ...
