im sure some of you would say i have over stayed my welcome.
funny

for a message board, and considering this community you would think it would be about tolerance, this is perhaps the most intolerant group of people i have ever come across,

i guess i shouldn't be surprised this hobby is about ego and selfishness and motivated by insecurities.

any way,

i came to this hobby, several different reasons, but i needed to for me, you know its along story,
those needs are gone,

this hobby has always been sad for me,

i met hung out alot with two great women. fantastic women,
but you know
they never even would have looked at me, if i wasn't paying them,
we laughed we cried we got drunk together, had some fun,
but just the same they never would have given me the time of day,

sad
really this hobby i just find sad,

anyway,
i don't expect an answer im just lost in thought,
bash away people

im not going to read any comments.
you can't run your life by what other people think,
and well you shouldn't judge some one by a few posts on a message board either,

you never really know any one until you live with them,
and well you never really know any one either for that matter,
until you have seen them at there lowest point,

its funny
i had some very low moments in this hobby in the past ten years,
but the sp's that actually know me stood by me, and were friends still,

but is it time just to leave it all behind,
and stop paying some one
when do you reach that point,

and think
god she is beautiful amazing and wonderful,
but she is only with me because i dropped a shit load of money on her coffee table.
when does that become reason to move on

I'll have to agree with this statement.
I got into this for what I thought was a good reason...but only to find out it was all the wrong reasons.

Sad.... depressing...... pathetic

But this is only how I feel.

sevenofnine...Sorry you feel that way...We all feel empty and alone at times...even when we have someone
People come into our lives for a reason..don't always know why

Remember the moments that made you feel alive...the truth is you will feel better..something else will come along
If those girls stood beside you in those dark times..they were probably more than you know, even if it's only friends..If this is the one thing you focus on..find some balance..Find a happy place and go there...That's what i do !!

I can always find a bag of ...Cheesies:)

Unless of course, she is a professional and making more money than her man.

Sevenofnine, every pleasure in life usually costs money. Stop feeling so fucking guilty about it and enjoy life!

You had a great time with some beautiful women. WTF is wrong with that? Only the fact that our society has been drilling it into your head since you were a little kid that sex is dirty unless it's in some fairy tale romance. Well life isn't always that perfect, so get your head out of your arse, stop feeling sorry for yourself go out and get laid without feeling guilty about it!

Life's too short to feel guilty about every little pleasure you indulge. Let St. Peter worry about it at the "Pearly Gates". After he tosses you out you can join the rest of us who had a "hell" of a time enjoying life!;)

Spooner, I feel for ya, I really do. But you don't have to see SPs to find a woman to break your heart. This can happen to you with any woman, believe me, I've been there.

Forget the little heartbreaker, there are lots of other fish in the sea......

yes there are lots of fish in the sea, but when you see one that is worth keeping alive and helping out, some how that human feeling of compassion takes over. But the sound of this defeat is deafening, and yes, a non sp could have caused the same thing. Just all so awful eh?
Hey luv hurts bud, what can I say. There really is only one cure, give it time and you'll get over it, mostly anyway.

Feel for you Spooner. Relationships are tough enough. One with an SP is tougher still because they are in the business of creating a fantasy world. Sometimes you find yourself wondering where the fantasy ends and reality begins.

FF, you are at about the time where your biologic alarm clock is going off - whether you know it or not, your subconcious is saying hey bud, time to procreate... so you see it as needing something more, a steady so/wife

fair enough, a man goes through phases in his life and you are about to embark on the most fulfilling phase of all

but don't think that it will be the last phase. there are many pooners here that have been there/done that, but in a later phase, guess what? they're back!

i hope you are right, that when you quit it will last forever, but don't give up your perb membership... just in case you decide differently at some point down the road

Melody, I think the OP is more concerned about the value of his buck in terms of the emotional detachment that he feels about seeing SPs.

It's a complicated issue, that can boil down to a monetary exchange, but then you have to stop and think about what you were really seeking to begin with.

If it's emotional attachment, this is not the best medium to seek within. But, then again, look at the dating sites. You just might feel the same about these type of exchanges. And, lots of people have found fulfilling relationships via this medium.

My best advice...only because I tell myself this daily.....is to let life happen. Things happen when you are NOT seeking them, and just working on being the best 'Me' you can 'be.'

There is a fine line between having a relationship with your SP, and un-spoken, un-warranted, un-fulfilling expectations that can never be fulfilled. You can't force love. Especially when it's simply not the desired outcome of an SP relationship, especially on behalf of the SP. I can only speak for myself. But, that fine line is called discretion.

Sevonofnine, I just came accross your post and I haven't read everything that everyone had to say, but I just want to say this.....

Your money is not just spent for her to pocket and use you. Your money is used to run her business, paying for the rent for a location for you to meet at, her condoms, lubes, lingerie, stokcings, linens, laundry, foods and beverages in some cases, soaps and shampoos, even medicines like tums and tylenol..... depending on who you see. I have invested a great deal on redecorating lately such as new linons and bedding, candles, iron rod candleholders, wall hangings..... and more to come.

Don't think of your money as just in her pocket to spend time with you, but rather that she is a sweet, special lady who welcomes you, and takes that money you give her to develop herself, her wardrobe, her ammeneties, etc, so that you can experience the ultimate enjoyment. Men have long complained for years that they spend so much money taking a woman out for dinner and drinks, trying to woo her, with no success..... Soooooo Why not cut to the chase and just pay her for her time which allows her time to be available for you, thus paying her bills and being there for you.... and allowing her to invest in wardrove and supplies, etc.

Look at it that way, and realize that if you spend this money on a woman who is not making you feel all that you should, then to try someone new next time. Many of us women take a great deal of pride in pleasing men and all I care is that your hygeine is good, and we are on baby!!!!

You and I don't disagree on this at all.

I was more referring to the context of what he sought to achieve or 'fix' by seeing an SP. Love and/or the feeling of love, can't be fixed hourly.

Hope I conveyed that via PM.

Yes Miss Freja, I agree..... See my PM......, however the time that he did spend with a lady isn't necesarrily to be left as a bad memory because he feels like the woman wouldn't pay attention to him otherwise. In fact she devotes much of herself, very willingingly to take good care of him.... I think many of us ladies do???
