The problem with PERB is...

...the same problem that exists on all internet chatrooms and posting boards.

Anonymity.

This is most apparent when reviews turn negative. Everyone and his dog feels the need to chime in an situations they were not involved in and know nothing about. The recent Totally Touchable reviews are a prime example.

If you took all of the people who have been posting on either the tropical1 defense of Tiffany thread or the now closed (thankfully) Sunset thread and put them into a room together, I guarantee that more than half of the negative things being expressed would stop. Perhaps far more than half.

Certain people feel a sense of empowerment on posting boards like this that they never feel in real life. They feel they can say anything, because they are protected with their cover of anonymity.

I have noticed that some PERB members will always defend a hobbyist and his claims. Some will always defend the SPs. And some seem to take every generally negative comment made as a personal attack on themself. This is so sad. Some of our fellow PERBites are so lonely, isolated, damaged and vulnerable? Or it at least appears as if this is the case. If someone makes a comment like, "Everyone on this thread needs to take a deep breath and relax," someone will inevitably take that as a personal attack and launch a counter-offensive.

I am not sure if I have any conclusions, solutions or really anything constructive to contribute. Perhaps just to start a conversation about this issue. Perhaps just to ask everyone to refrain from making really personal and hurtful comments. After all, PERB exists for us to share info about our life with escorts. Let me remind all of you of something.

Not too good not too bad. just a normal infformative reviews. It's too bad the thread was deleted. I was not intending this to be a place to actually rehash the whole TTT debate. I want to help initiate a New Era of PERB. A new era with lots of reviews, good and bad. A new era in which people write positively about sex and the wonderful sexy women we pay to have sex with us. Bad sexual service is still SEX. I have had my fair share of bad sex with less than professional escorts too. I even got ripped off once.

But I keep going back. You know why? Its simply.

Right on, richmann! Its funny, when you think about this. Some of these guys problem get more upset over insults at their favourite SP than they would if anyone insulted their wife or girlfriend, assuming they have either a wife or a girlfriend.

These women are neither. They are our service providers. Yet some feel the need to protect a service provider as if they were a significant other. An odd phenomena.

I understand your motivation when you say this, but I refuse to accept this. This means that you think PERB and its members can't change. It means we can't do a better job. It means that you have given up.

I refuse to give up on this topic. I have started threads like this before and I will start threads like this again. I love the idea of what PERB could be. I am not so crazy about what PERB is. I think we can work, just a little, to close that gap.

I have gotten some nice responses on this thread. How about it, guys (and you wonderful, sexy, beautiful SPs are certainly welcome to chime in at any time)? Can we make PERB fun? Can we make talking about sex fun?

So, in essence of what my inoperable thread had stated. Who do we trust? The providers have an unfortunate disadvantage in that anonymity has protected the clients and therefore they have the upper hand in matters like these clients have nothing to lose. A false or ficticious review where an SP is forced to defend herself and forced to reveal of additional information of the actual event, she is called to be defensive and worse.

I'm saddened that there were in fact Personal Messages of support sent to the provider by other providers but none of them would buck up and say that they had experienced the same awkward session from the client. I'm positive that this argument would take a different turn if those SPs who have seen him would pipe up and not have TTT's defense sink. I see, or rather saw, only one person who had a bizarre event of trying to book a session with him and she reported it on the thread. Who is protecting the providers? Certainly only a few who've dared to support the chastized one openly.

I know this TTT issue is still hot for lots of you. And I know that you have a strong opinion as well, Steph. But, to repeat my request to Batman2 and godzilla, this thread is encouraging happy pooners and happy SPs to post reviews and to start threads about the joy of sex, pooning, being a SP, etc.

I am not trying to tell you not to feel what you are feeling concerning this issue. But, since I started this thread, I think I can ask that we keep all of the newly created, negative vibe that surrounds the TTT issue off of THIS thread.
