I want to remind all of you to get out and vote Tuesday!!! You might think it is a waste of time or it does not effect you. You are wrong.
Look at your taxes!! Look at what comes off your pay stub every month.

I don't care who you vote for. Just go out and do it.

There are many millions of people who don't get to. They live in oppression.

It gives you a right to bitch afterwards. Apathy sucks. The poles are open just about all day. Take two pieces of ID and vote!!!!

It will be a close election from what I can tell so, maybe your vote really will count.

Thank you.

Looks like it's more of the same... and more wasted tax-payers dollars for yet another election.

Not meaning to highjack this thread, but hopefully this will help further stoke the appetite for electoral reform. Our first-past-the-post system is simply not adequate to handle elections where there are more than two candidates running. Any more than that and you get results that are skewed all over the place.

Harper will win an extra 16-17 seats (13% increase) despite only seeing an increase of 1-2% in popularity. Dion loses 19 seats (about a 20% drop) even though the Liberal party's popularity only decreased by 3%.

We'll be having another opportunity to switch to proportional representation in the next provincial election in BC. If we want the chance to see some real positive change in how politics are conducted, we should be voting Yes to BC-STV.

Amen Brother...Amen...
That's the beauty of democracy. You don't have to vote to earn the right to bitch. As long as there's no law ordering you to vote, you don't have to vote. The Charter of Rights and Freedoms guarantees you the right to say whatever stupid shit you have percolating in your mind. The day they ORDER you to vote, you don't have that freedom.

P.S. I did vote. Not voting just makes you apathetic, not undemocratic.

And the BQ get 50 seats with 9% of the popular vote while the Greens with 6% get no seats.

Ugh! I really need to stat brushing up on PQ. They maintain a steady power base and I am absolutely ignorant of what they even stand for (aside from their separatist endeavors).
