The big carriers are starting to have sleepless nights now that T-Mobile (Germany) & AT&T (USA) are preparing for an onslaught into the Canadian market which has been over-priced for years compared to other OECD countries.

About Time...... now that we have number portability, I think the next thing to go is these contracts. The way I see it, if they have to lock you in for long terms, it's because they are robbing you! If I received a great service and fair price, I wouldn't be looking to change.
I find it funny watching what is going on in the US. Not sure who started it but now, you can get unlimited use of your cell phone with calls to anywhere in North American calls for 59.99 a month($US). Can't wait to see some new companies start!

by the minute fees.....(for long distance anyway....) When I use 61 seconds, charged for 2 minutes.
