Your opinion/preference on BDSM session atmosphere ?

Just wondering what others' preferences were for an atmosphere and/or room style during a BDSM session ? (concrete dungeon, community dungeon. private, hotel, etc.) ?
Myself, I really have more of a preference for a private play space with that "crazy woman's" bedroom look. (chains on the bed, knives on the dresser, etc.) No music playing,
dark with really small and dim candles and a bit of light shining through the bottom of a closed door. The sound of high heels coming down the hallway......

I am with you on the private play space RT, but I want the music. Less of an 'in your face' sound, more instrumental, melodic, sensual tones. Gimme the Fuk Lounge music! But of course, the tunes should not drown out the noise of misstress's heels on the hallway!

This crazy woman's bedroom theme sounds kind of cool, although I like the female domme equivalent of the 'guy garage'--(No, I don't mean a big Hilti poster with a bikini babe holding a hammer drill that would likely break her arm if it was plugged in). I mean there should be an orderliness to the space. Like pegboards or hook rows on the walls with implements neatly hanging there, a place for everything, excellent Feng Shui and a wholistic energy balance. Yes, there should be harmony in the subtle use of colour, subdued lighting, and floggers on the wall.

That makes for a good session environment.

Ooooooh, that is lovely ironwork. The chains, tongs, an dagger are well organized indeed. Could use a little more 'cush factor' like a big furry armoir as a centre-piece. I would definately store my wine in there too!

Well, what do you expect from the Germans...............a furry armoir....really ? I think that was suggested once before, by this guy.......................



...................................though I agree it could use a bit of filling out.......maybe something rustic or rusty from the Walmart Dungeon Masters line..

Not really into scene-setting or dungeons at all. I just like it when our eyes meet, Goddess instantly makes it clear She is on control - mentally, physically, spiritually. And I make it clear that I am totally compliant and obedient to Her. The roles promptly established, we can relax, enjoy some pleasant conversation along the way, and things just flow from there. I have one small boundary, but beyond that Goddess is completely, 100 per cent in command ... whether we are out in public, a club, in a hotel room, whatever.

Being spontaneous is paramount ... and for me, not to control a session in any way. When as a submissive you try to control things, you diminish the exhilaration of the domination experience. But we can dream, can't we? Of course a session in a stinky dumpster in a back alley on Hastings St. would be all fine and dandy. But then my inner decorator reminds me that red and black do go well together, so I should like to prepare the dumpster accordingly with a little wide down, red paint, and leather addornments, for our mutual enjoyment. The same way I would hope an exotic restaurant would trump McDonalds for a dinner out. Having said that, it is true that time and space are irrelevant when Mistress is in 'da Room, and when She looks in my eyes there is nowhere else I would rather be!
