You know, there is only one reason to arrange your own funeral: That is to prevent the vultures (funeral homes) from taking advantage of your grieving family. When my wife's family was trying to bury my mother-in-law, I had to take the owner of the funeral parlor aside and threaten to burn his ass out if he pulled another one of those "If you want show respect, you should go with this option at only mega $". (you don't have to buy the $1600 coffin if you're going to cremate) Non of the grieving daughters was thinking straight and if I questioned anything it was taken as a sign of disrespect to the deceased. Since then, they have all realized they were taken and apologized to me for giving me such a hard time. In the meantime, I have everything arranged for myself and my wife so my children/widow will not have to put up with this crap.
