My fridge isn't changing (yet) but I have noticed newer fridges seem smaller inside than those made several years ago. I find all those damn doors annoying.
More insulation to make them run more efficiently. Same with more doors; so only a small portion of the fridge gets filled with warm air when you open one.

I'd like a more energy efficient and bigger fridge myself but I just can't justify the price right now.

Fridges have gotten 10 times more energy efficient than the ones from 25 years ago. A new fridge will only cost you $25-50 a year in electricity depending on where you live
