Health Nurse,
Just a quick question for you, will the same topical and oral otc treatments available to treat yeast work for both females and males? Was just curious about this.
Thanx,
unclemike

Hi unclemike

The main otc yeast infection creams contain Clotrimazole (Canesten) or Miconazole (Monistat) and can be used by men and woman. The main difference is that the packets designed for woman have a device that allows you to place the cream in the vagina.

There is also a pill you can get for yeast infections called Fluconazole. It can be used by men and woman but requires a prescription from a doctor.
