I took a walk around yaletown today, to get out of the house for a bit.

Why does everyone who lives there have a really small dog?
What good is having a small dog for protection, they are just going to pee on someone who breaks in.

There is also a coffee bar on every corner. Who can affrord to buy anything at Urban Fare!!! Damn!!!

Has anyone here ever been to the bar in the Opus hotel? If so what is the price of a beer there?

The parking spaces are big enough for a Hummer...

I find it amazing that you complain about the prices at Urban Fare given that you partake in this hobby. I certainly understand, but amazing nevertheless.

Being from out in the valley, when I went to the Perb meet a beer at the
Cecil was $6.50 ?! WTF. Okay it's a strip joint and they gotta pay for the gyno show. BIG DEAL! That still equals rip-off in my books to the point
of .......Okay?......."Are you gonna help me ram this beer up my ass sideways for that price?" :D

I suppose with the cute chick behind the bar this was supposed to ease
my feelings of being ripped off. No wait, that was the job of the peelers!:D

So I had three beer the whole evening and then started on the soft drinks
for the remainder. "Shock syndrome sets in".......forget the beers, I gotta
drive tonite. On to the soft drinks,

$5.75 for a tall coke......again.........WTF?!

Holy crap am I in the wrong business !!!!!!!!

All the gays live in Yaletown

Yaletown is the new West End. Back in the day when the West End was "happening", alot of the gay population seemed to want to live there. Since, at the time, homosexuality was not commonly accepted, they developed a way of safely communicating their sexual orientation to others in their community. Specifically, they bought small dogs. With the demise of the West End as an upscale neighborhood, and the eventual development of Yaletown as Vancouver's new happening neighborhood, they all eventually migrated there. The small dog thing stuck. They kept their dogs. Some had grown attached to the little creatures and brought them with them to their new digs.
So, basically, people that you see walking small dogs in Yaletown are gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that...
