xbox help

I was hoping someone would be able to help me, My son's xbox has dvd disk read errors. Looks like the dvd drive is toast. Anyone know where you can purchase a new dvd rom drive for it. or is there a local repari shop he can take it to get fixed

If you are just getting the bad disc message, try propping the xbox up on one side. So if you are looking the front of the xbox, one side is on the ground and the other side is almost straight up and down. Now try putting the game in.

go to xbox-scene.com click the link on the right hand side that says "digital forums" sign up, it takes 24 hours to validate your account. Then check out the tutorials in the xbox section. You may want to try to tweak your pot settings.
