WTF ! Kim Campbell - Sleeveless dresses 'demeaning' for TV broadcasters?

Two things, well, three in fact.

First thing first. I love seeing women in sleeveless dresses. I think it is just so sexy. It must be some kind of fetish. (The women I have seen know what I am talking about). But I digress.

Secondly, I think there is nothing wrong with women wearing sleeveless dresses on TV. Heck, the reason I turn on the TV in the morning is to see those ... sexy arms of Kaitlin Herbst on Global. I think she should change her name to Kaitlin Armstrong Herbst. What a gorgeous woman!!!!

Thirdly.... and most importantly ............... didn't Kim Campbell pose semi nude for a portrait when she was in PM's office?

So it is OK with a female pm to pose semi nudish but not OK for a woman to have bare arms on TV? ...............

I too think sleeveless dresses can look professional. But I feel slightly hypocritical since a guy wearing a sleeveless shirt would just look ... silly. Or redneck. Or silly-redneck.

Note I say only "slightly" since, at the end of the day, it should be perfectly OK for men & women to wear different outfits - women shouldn't have to be wearing suits & ties anymore than men shouldn't have to be wearing dresses

That was basically Campbell's point - to play the part of a serious individual you should dress that way. How many female executives do you see wearing sleeveless dresses? Probably some, but not a lot. For the simple reason that bare arms makes you look more casual and less serious.
