Unsure about the rest of you guys, but I for one am a little tired of the ridiculously low character limits for the pm's on this site......

You can't even reply to a pm and keep the original note/notes due to the abysmal settings on the board. I wonder if we could increase them a little?

My mini rant......lol.....

I second everything you have said Sexy Nina ....VERY frustrating
Ditto x2. It is helpful to keep the original pm in your reply. Impossible to respond with the quote and the reply in 1000. Also almost impossible to keep things off the main board with such limits on the pms, since you can't always get the info to fit within that limit.

And to overdone, athaire isn't "interviewing himself". As the interview coordinator, he is the one who posts all interviews on the unnamed sites and was also strongly encouraged to do one himself, to which he reluctantly agreed, and to which was very much appreciated.

I don't like it either. I'd raise it to 5,000 characters myself if I could...:)

Also, having to wait 60 seconds between sending PMs is annoying... I'm a fast typist gaddang-it!

I agree!

It's sometimes very frustrating trying to compose anything using only 1000 characters.

With the amount of members on this site it would be nice to see the character limits raised.

I was jsut responding to a pm, pressed send, then had to erase the whole original message, I was responding to, press send again. I am so glad someone decided to rant on this, because I AGREE!!!!! I was just grumbling to myself about this very issue, lol.

Please oh mighty, sexy Fred Z, see our pain and help us. :D

LOL.....I didn't think I was alone on this one. The 60 second wait thing is frustrating as hell when you are busy. I wonder if Fred or BcMod would care to respond?

So you know something that we don't? :p

The 90 second post limit, the 60 second PM limit are both the bane of my PERB existence - I type around 110WPM :(

The character limit in PMs is also quite annoying, even 1500 or 2k characters would be fine
110WPM? Damn...I have a "keyboard" you could type on quickly...:D

I believe the 60 second limit is more than likely to prevent excess spamming, or it could have something to do with the bandwidth... I could be wrong...

Sadly I'm not blonde anymore :(

And while I've considered it, apparently Vancouver has almost no redheaded providers so I gotta represent ;)
Very true, and redheads are sexy too....Blonds more so though! :p

This is up to Fred.

Time limit is likely to reduce spamming

Character limit is likely a cost factor.

I am willing to bet if Fred increased the PM limit and everyone had to pay to join PERB to cover the cost of the extra PM size then everyone would complain about having to pay - I would have thought most of the guys on this board are used to paying.....

ouch :( Who knew the mods had a sense of humor  :p

The character limit is really not a problem in my opinion. It just forces you to be concise, and it's not necessary to quote everything in a reply.
Why would anyone other than advertisers need more than 40 PMs? If your PMs are so priceless  and you want to save them just copy them into a word document.
The time limit is a little annoying but it is a minor annoyance. It would be much worse to receive a bunch of spam messages filling your inbox.
