Ya ya...I know it's early on, but come on...they look pathetic this year so far! No energy, no heart, no offense, and now no Bieksa and Salo. What a disaster....

So who will be first to go?

Not sure these useless freaks can turn it around. Maybe they'd finish dead last and get a high draft pick:eek:

I was at the game last night and I must admit it looked pretty bad. The Canucks may have dominated the first two periods play-wise, but there were few if any real scoring opportunities, and every time they got the puck in open ice it seemed they had no legs and just couldn't turn on any speed.

As for Bieksa and Salo, anyone know how long they are going to be gone? That puck in the face for Salo looked pretty bad (lots of blood) but I didn't really see what happened to Bieksa. Can anyone enlighten me on that one?

i heard Bieksa suffered a cut on his leg. i don't know if it's true or not, but if he was cut, and tendons were severed he's going to be out for awhile.

as for who's going first? if anything, i wouldn't be surprised if Vignault got the boot.

Do you know what the Vancouver Canucks and possems have in common?

They both play dead at home and get killed on the road.

Isn't this the same song as last year? The Canucks were better at the start of season, but they still sucked.

As for who will go, do the Canucks really have anything another team would trade for? (Other than Luongo or the Sedins...)

Alain Vigneault could get the axe, but that's unlikely. Nonis will stand pat, and hope for a miracle...

more to come...

There WILL be a trade or two, Nonis has over 4 million under the salary cap to play with, I think he just wanted to see if Raymond or Shannon could stick with the team before making a move. Look for Cory Schneider and Luc Bourdon to be packaged with one or two of the overpaid guys, Cooke + Morrison come to mind.

everyone in hockey world knew he had to do something during the summer , but instead he tried to be smartass and do nothing and it has back fired big time on him. the place fills up every game and he looks good on the books but wait until they loss a few more games. look at how the fans turned on luongo for a soft goal.
Noonis has to go and fast.!!!!
Nonis is the most boring GM in the league. I recall some guy calling into 1040 last yr and saying in broken english, "Nonis should be an accountant!"...Ahahahaha...I couldn't agree more. He is all about the books ie. keeping the owners happy, financially. He has very little hockey sense and I doubt the whole Canucks Scouting staff is any good.

I hope the Canucks turn it around fast, which I doubt...or I hope they tank really fast and are out of the playoff race by Christmas.

Personally, I don't like the makeup of the team...especially on offense. The sad thing is, almost all the 2008 marketable and talented free agents are already signed this yr, so No-Nuts-Nonis has to make a trade or be canned!

We Oiler fans feel your pain, Canucklehead fans. With half the defense out with injuries, a pop-gun offense and MacTavish still the head coach, I fear the Oil will be dwelling in the basement with your team.

The only positive is that you can always bet on them to lose on Sportsaction. I made a few $$$ betting against them.

Go Canucks Go !!!

Its the same as last year, except Luongo is only playing like an average goalie. Canucks are a very average team, with probably the best goalie in the leauge. If he;s not playing like the best goalie, the canucks arnt going to win many games.

I honestly don't think they have it this year. It seems like falf the team is very inexperienced. I think next year is something else though. Both Naslund and Morrison are going to be free agents. I think that equates to nearly 10 million off the books. They need to make sure they bring in a couple good 6 million dollar players that can put the puck into the net.

To me, the Sedins are still secondary scorers. The Canucks still need a couple first line players. A few years ago, Naslund and Morrison fit the bill. Not so much anymore.

Speaking about heart and legs, I wonder if their run after Christmas last year have made them more lackadaisical this time around. They're thinking to themselves, "Oh we were on such a roll after Christmas. We don't have to worry about this year." Well, I hope they pick it up a few notches! They were tied for last in the league after the predators!!
